this craving for cocaine i get is ridiculous. it's definitely manageable, but its pissing me the hell off. i REALLY wish i never tried the crap, i wouldn't wish anyone this kind of wanting for something you KNOW is gona suck ass. i GUARANTEE if i got ANY free amount of coke, the happyness honestly comes from the recognition that i have the stuff. i try to think about how good it feels, but i can't even see it. i can see the paranoid/uncomforting stimulation accompanying the high, because that's what it does (without benzos, i quit those too). if i can see as clear as day, that what i'm craving really doesn't do much except give me a serious inner workout thats unnecessary, then how come i get cravings like this? i'm assuming my rewar d center is just searching for well-being. i mentioned exercising helps with this before, but sometimes it seems like a hassle to do so, as if getting a bag isn't.

Have you ever done great coke before? That's what my addiction came from, is that having seen Heaven, you always think the next bag is going to be it. But in the last ten years, coke is nothing more than a paranoid, ampy, edgy and uncomortable buzz. So if this is all you've ever had, and have never done "real" cocaine, then I really don't see why you would be addicted to it.

And cocaine on it's own is not a physically addictive drug, but rather a psychologically addictive drug. But if you've never done the "real thing" before and only the thing you've ever tried is what my wife has labled "socaine", then that introduces the possibility of something I've always wondered, and think I possibly verified when stopping alltogether, is that they have added an addictive substance to cocaine nowdays.

When quitting, I actually went thru physical withdraw symptoms. I felt absolutely awful, lethargic, sick, constantly tired, my shit was a freakin' watercan and so on and so on....... So, if your constantly craving the drug being sold as cocaine, then that might lend some credibility to that theory. Something to think about anyway...........

Oh, by the way, real cocaine should feel EXACTLY like the plateau stage of pure MDMA, but can last as long as you want, or until you run out of the drug. You have an immense clarity and sense of well being. You feel as though your invincible and that your on top of the world. Conversation flows like a faucet and sexual wouldn't even begin to describe how horny it will make you. In fact, with "real" cocaine, there really aren't any negatives at all except that damn psychological addiction, replacing of friends and family, and the emptying of your bank account. If you feel anything different than I described above, then you've been getting something different than cocaine, or something mixed in that's more overpowering than cocaine. The word paranoid should never, ever come up when refering to real cocaine, nor will edgy, ampy, geeked out, non-talkative, non-sexual, difficulty with speech or talking in general etc.......

switching OPIATES --> COCAINE is an improvement! Not the other way around.

How do you figure? Not everyone who takes opiates has no sex drive! Just because you lost yours on opiates doesn't mean it's that way for everyone else. Substituting a drug that isn't cardiotoxic or poisonous in any way really, is better than doing cocaine in my opinion. To each their own, but I don't agree with your statement. The only thing you're backing up your argument with is the fact that certain opiates can lower sex drive for some people.

I do think having an opiate addiction is serious business and the withdrawal from it is hell. Opiate cravings can last years and they cause almost every addict I've known to relapse at least once and down-regulation of your opiate receptors is a bitch. Being a slave to any drug takes a toll on you. It is a weakness having to be dependent upon a drug spending your time and effort to score just so you can feel normal and get a little high. Chasing the opiate high doesn't always seem worth it after awhile. Even though all this is true it doesn't make it any easier to quit and the fact of the matter is that the opiate high feels good and can give you consistent relaxing euphoria.

i totally see your point of view. i've never purified my cocaine. however, i obtain typical "good coke", nothing awesome, but never something to complain about.

i find that my body specifically can't handle stimulants well. if i enjoyed speedyness, i'd get methamphetamine. i enjoy the euphoric state coke can bring. also, i assume tolerance can grow to cocaine's effects. i've burned myself out using it , and i woulda never guessed how far the comedown went, but i experienced it on my own. when i say speedyness, i don't know anybody who doesn't feel like theyre uncomfortably stimulated after a binge.

yes, i understand. it's why i tried to explain the craving of coke as your brain searching for that reward that's all too familiar. if coke felt like asshole, then there would be no reward to speak of

I am very happy for you, LeJunk :)

I personally am coming off from a compound habit of several different things. My body needs a break. I've been abusing it for a while. I have been using small doses of Ketamine to keep the pain at bay and at the same time learn from what I'm doing.

I imagine getting off coke is like stepping out of a hollywood movie... you are confronted with all the bad edits and left out details to deal with.

Take it day by day, and let us know how it goes :)

Actually, "real" cocaine is considered to be a relaxing stimulant. In fact, many first time users, including myself when I first tried it in the 80's, thought I was the butt end of several people's joke. In other words, I didn't even know I was high because cocaine's high is that subtle and underlying. Everytime I did a line, I quickly looked up to see if anyone was laughing at me because I thought it had to be flour or something. Before actually trying it, I had always thought it would kick my ass or something. I certainly wasn't prepared for it's truly subtle high. After a few more times of trying it, I learned of it's incredible euphoria and increased talkativeness and sex drive it induced. I could have just lost my mother, my job, and my right arm and after doing a couple lines, everything was just great.

And believe it or not, large groups of us would do it for three days straight and never get uncomfortably stimulated after a binge. The only reason for quitting was out of simple exhaustion or hunger, or most likely the combination of both. You'd go from place to place because you wanted to go everywhere and see everyone. Multiple sexual encounters and party hopping were par for the course. I know all of this seems almost to good to be true, but that's really the way it was back in circa 1986.

Thing started to change ever so slightly around the early 90's here in Indiana. About one bag out of 20 started to be the edgy stuff that is the norm today. Since you didn't recognize it back then, or know it was something different, you simply assumed you must have just done to much or something. Slowly, it transitioned into one out of every 10 bags, then 5 and then finally, pretty much every bag was what we soon labled, ISB (Indiana speed blow!). Great blow officially died for good in Indiana around 1995. Around 1997, I got a Bolivian connect from Miami that knew one of my bst fiends and saw a wide open market craving the real thing here. He seized it, took over Indianapolis, and proceeded to eventually sell to the wrong person, and thus the final end to the book!

Until I nearly, but never perfectly perfected cleaning the blow, have I ever really acheived the real thing since. Therefore, there's no better time to quit than now!

UPDATE: I wanted to say thanks to every member of this community for your kind words and support. As I sit here preparing the syringe for my new herion addiction.........................ha, just kiddin!!!!! ;)

Anyway, it's now day 20 and things are very, very different. And I'm talkin' in a big way! The days are extremely slow and seem to last forever. Before, they just kind of all ran together or repeated themselves..........kind of like that movie, "Groundhog Day".

I did take on opiates in the beginning as they did kind of make a nice transitional buzz from cocaine, but with the advice of those more experienced with opiates here on Bluelight, have since quit them as well. And then the days got a little a longer again...................

I'm severely clean and sober now. And I'll tell ya' one thing, the body sure does have it's own gross ass little way of cleansing itself! And that seemed to go on for more than a freakin' week! Damn!!!!!

So, have I had any cravings to do coke again? Well sure I have. One time, I actually had the time, place and phone number of my dealer, thought about the progress, the pain, the stating over, the cycle, and actually about letting some of you guys down. I erased the number, called my wife immediately and went to lunch with her instead. That was fuckin' awsome! A HUGE step for the Le Junky! =D

Seen alot, and I mean alot of movies. Put on a little healthy weight, and feel ah, normal I guess, whatever that's suppose to feel like. But it's definately different, and will take alot of getting use too.

I'll definately keep checking this thread. And by no means, don't mistake me for being able to simply slip and fall right off of this almighty wagon again! Every day is somewhat of a struggle. I feel as though I'm trying to reach a goal or something, but there's nothing at the end. This is it, this is the goal. Life. ;)

Le Junk :)

Hey Man- I relate to the long days, the idle time. It's like you always had that favorite toy to play with in your back pocket. Nothing to do? Then lay it out and kill 8 hours if not more!!

Till then it started to be...Plenty to do? Well, fuck it, let's still lay it out and kill 8 hours! The time involved in that, looking back was amazing. So it was a substitute for something. A crutch or something. I think if we could figure that out, we could end the self destructive behavior quicker.

But if we knew that, would we be here to start with? :) Regardless, it is week number 4 for me today and instead of calculating the time I wasted I am calculating what I will do tomorrow, since I will not feel like shit, will have slept and eaten and KNOW I will be able to function like a human being. :)

Right on about the goal at the end statement. It always bothered me that after working thru some trials and tribulations and after the smoke cleared- you were just back to ....normal. Didn't get to pass go, collect $200, just back where you were. Or with a better appreciation of being back there. Man, when you break your arm, can you not wait to move your fingers again, use your hand (for whatever reason,) just have it back. Now just think, no more sick, tired, nasty feeling, can't sleep, eat. Etc...

LeJunk is getting is cast off everyone!!!!!!!!

Don't worry about the goal or reaching the pinnacle. It is the sides of the mountain that sustain life....not the top.

Either way my friend- your inspiring alot of people. And maybe, just maybe that is what this is all about. There is no telling how many people you have touched or enlightened man. So I think your goal with nothing at the end....well has alot at the end.

Good journey for you man, hang in there.

congrats on the sobriety. i was heavy into coke for about a year because i was hanging around some older friends that had really good connections. when u have large amounts.... kilo... even tho we didnt clean it or anything like u did, it was still great coke, nice pearl shine like some of the pics in the usergallerys. im guranttee the stuff from summer '05 to the end of summer '06 was above 65% pure. sometimes if u did alot i mean, to much like more then 2.5 grams in a day u would get a tweaked feeling. but for the most part on an enjoyable level of a gram or 2 u felt like God or something.

u are right, this person must never expienced good coke!

one time we did use ur purifying technique. we started with 7 grams and ended up wit 5.6 grams. that was the best damn 2 nights of cola ever !!

but as with u me too, fuck the cola, it will get u nowhere fast.

Hey, what about quitting or taking a break? This nostalgic talk about "good cocaine" sounds like craving, not like giving it a break. It means that if I someone now offered you 100 mg of Columbian coke from the 80's, you would not miss it for the world. You should allow for the possibility that getting older and having been an intensive user for years has taken its toll on your body's ability to enjoy coke, even "real coke", whatever that means in this day and age.

le_junk how much of your nasal septum is left after 20 years of constant use?

did you ever iv?

glad to hear you've gotten this far, it's been quite the journey hasn't it.

small hole? how the hell?

when you did it how much did you usually do a session? like how many Gs?

For many, many years, three day binges. After that, twice a week, and then ultimately, everyday. It wasn't until the everyday usage that i even eveloped a hole at all. Unbelieveable, I know! ;)

However, being the health nut that I am (LOL!), I always washed out my nose with warm water or saline to keep it clean during and after my sesions, so that helped, I'm sure.

that is interesting le junk, you substituted opiates for cocaine temporarily. so therefore there is some aspect of the opiate high that you enoy that is also present in cocaine. Im going to assume it is the euphoria. this is important i always stress with addiction, ask yourself why you are doing the drug? specifically why, yes it feels good bla bla find the exact reason and then you can focus on that and it becomes easier to quit because you know what to work on.

That was EXACTLY it, the euphoria. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't have even done coke in the first place!

I second that. I can't understand people like some speed users who say they like speed, indeed put it above coke/crack, because it keeps them wide awake for days on end. To me that's torture. Unless you're a soccer player and then it's doping, not drug-taking.

Le Junk, I'm intrigued about the opiate euphoria. I did H 3 times (twice by mistake, thinking it was something else), and 3 times I was sick and didn't get much in the way of euphoria. Is the opiate euphoria something that makes you horny in any way? Is it in any way as "satisfactory" as the coke/crack high? I'm curious as a coke afficionado.

yea i did successfully, doesnt mean i dont crave it or desire it day to day...its been about a month now after a 3 month everyday spree up to an 8 ball a night.
THE BEST WAY TO STOP: money drainage screwed me over. In terms of how I did it, I went all out on the last night i planned to do it, doing 5 grams straight in a few hours. by then i felt so bad, so jaded from the abuse, nose bleeding, it made me sick to think of doing it again for a while. It's worked so far, at first depression was insane, but with good social support to keep you occupied (going out to lunch, dinner, going to movies, walking in parks, going to concerts, whatever floats your boat) reminds you that life can be enjoyed substance free. im only 20, you're obviously in a tougher situation, but i help this helped a little bit. All the best luck.

Le Junk ;)

everything seems so simple right, the euphoria"i liked the drug so i used it". ya well why doesnt everyone get addicted to cocaine? why can some people feel that euphoria and control thier use or use it very rarely? why did you become unable to control you use and become addicted? its not that simple not everyone feels the need of cocaine euphoria and becomes addicted . there is more to it then the euphoria, and the reasons or motivation that get you to use are important. the euphoria or affects of the drug are just that and reasons you like the drug itself. it doesnt account for the reasons that got you addicted, or why you felt you needed cocaine all the time. these reasons in your life you have to think about and which aspect of the drug you like usually is a key to finding the rest out.

ok there you go. If your main motivation to use cociane was the euphoria that is something to keep in mind. because without cocaine you will have a serious void. you need to find things then that make you happy and enhance your wellbeing. you going to have to eat alot of good food. start to do activities you enjoy, lots of sex basically find pleasure in life without drugs which is very very hard.

you know everyone doesnt do drugs just for euphoria you know. i use opiates for relieving tension for example. so if i stopped them i would have to find other ways to relieve tension. thats is all i was saying to you before. say what you want, the reason and motivation that cause you to use drugs is important. so if you need the euphoria of cocaine in your life, why are you emotionally unhappy and need drugs to feel good? there was something if i may say either very bland and boring or depressing in your life in which you had the motivation to seek the euphoria. believe it or not even if two people use a drug for euphoria, the reasons in thier life that get them to seek it can be different.

im jus trying to get you to think of reasons you do the drug, so you identify the issues in your life that trigger you to use. because once you find what is missing or wrong in your life you can go fix it.

once what caused you to seek cocaine in the first place is gone itll be easier to abstain no?

its not the same kind of euphoria. it has a different feel and actually some people do not like the opiate euphoria. generally people that like stimulants actually do not like the opiate high so then you may not also. the opiate ephoria is more subtle, it is a relaxing, warm deep internal feeling. indeed you do need to grow accustomed to it however.
