Bro i used to sell that shit and all my profit money went into my nose i know what your taliking about. id get into anouther drug if possible not opiets or anything but maybie take some T get your mind off of it. it changed me. i was doing about an 8 ball eveyday. so i know what im talking about.

Dude- I just saw your post man. I know we have chatted a bit together and its more the science really that keeps you interested, same as me. Face it, its going to be crap pretty much no matter what we clean it with.

I am down here at the beach house man. Hitting therapy every other day. It's all mental. They actually give a little vial of maybe a line or two when you get depressed for the first days. It's softened up. Then, get this. For the last three days that I took it for the first week, Guess what? It was not even blow man. That disconnected me right away. Your an analytical dude, so think about it like that and it will help you ride out the storm. Fuck man, honestly. The good stuff is gone, its all crap now.

And here we are handing over money, in street corners and houses, baring everything, our family, friends, and TIME. Time we can't get back, because we couldn't eat, or we are tired. Irritable. The face in the mirror has more wrinkles and lines. Bags under the eyes. Just give us a corner to ourselves with some lines and its all we need. And if we keep going...its all we will fucking have Le Junk.

I can't believe where I was headed, hell where I went in three years time. Days and days of that shit. Using it like a crutch. It's been three weeks, and two clean. Your letting a punk powder, that hell is not even really good anymore own you. We can chase all day long the high of the 80's but its gone the way of high top reeboks and parachute pants!

God, if I was home right now and didn't have these weeks behind me, and still railing I would be in my office with a pile, checking out the net and then the sun would be coming up. The time I wasted, people I hurt, etc. No need to be ashamed, that's nowhere. You did it, now let's kick this pig and make your woman proud moni.

Dude-get in touch with me. You can come down here and crash at the house, the island is nice, good fishing and support. And yes, my girl is down here too right by me..

^^^^^that is PLUR if i have ever seen it.

hey Le Junk, mind over matter. It is a substance and being knowledgeable is a good thing, but admitting you got in too deep is hard at first. Coming to terms with the fact that a lousy plant alkaloid had you by the balls is also hard. Please continue to update as necessary

Hope everything is going good Le Junk, don't give in to temptation, think about your wife.
Keep in touch, and i wish you my very best!

A good buddy of mine, large cocaine dealer, was doing upto a half-o of blow a day, daily, for many years.
His girlfriend got shot.
He quit cold turkey and got a real job (pizza-cook) and worked 14-15 hour days.
He said the only way he got over it was having that one thing to push him, and something to keep him so busy he didnt have time to think about cocaine

fucking strong man.

check in with us le_junk. how you holding up?

Lets just hope Le Junk hasn't checked back because he is avoiding the board and its significant relapse potential.

Le Junk: Just a thought, but a 12 step program like Narcotic's Anonymous and/or Cocaine Anonymous might be just what you need to get your life back in order. I only have one friend who has successfully gone completely clean and its due to these programs.
Also Suboxone has shown to decrease not only opiate use/relapse but also cocaine use! Maybe you could look into Suboxone maintenance if your insurance allows and if you could convince a doctor to prescribe it or you could, god forbid, fake opiate WDs. Just a thought, there is a little bit of literature out there so let me know if you need help finding it.

I am so sorry guys, but no, we're still holding strong at 8 days and counting! Like some of you said, try and keep your mind on work or anything, just stay busy.....

Well, that's exactly what I've been doing, and I haven't even taken the time to check back onto Bluelight. Shit, some of you guys probably thought I was hold up in some hotel room with an OZ or something after my wife kicked me out, but that ain't the case. The kid is riding out day 8 with NO cravings as of yet. Kinda weird.........

Anyway, some more good news. The wife is cutting her work schedule down to three days a week, starting tomorrow, so she'll be home 4 out of 7 days. She know's me, know's my personality change and will be right on top of it, making it very difficult to obtain or use at all! Good stuff, well, until I really wanna do it anyway! ;)

No 12 steps yet, but I have been checking in to the Ibogaine treatments. You see, I've been using opiates when I don't use cola, but I'm sure you can see the connection there. Anyway, Ibogaine may just be the ticket I've been looking for. We'll see, but for now, day 8 and counting...............

Spiff,

You da man! Hey brother, I'm not avoiding ya', just tryin' to keep my mind off of this shit we're talkin' about right now. You are right, we have consumed ourselves with it for quite sometime now, especially with regards to the pharmacology aspect. I appreciate the offer to come down. How long are you going to be there? Since my wife has cut back on work, right now may just be the time to do it!

Le Junk ;)

8 days man. The hump is almost over

Think of all the stuff you'll be able to purchase with that freed up cash!

:)
Good luck homie.

Yeah, 8 days is pretty freakin' huge when your used to having it as part of your daily regimen. And I'll admit, I'm not missin' the $800 a week thingy either! 8o

Hey Le Junk, I know you don't me, but I've read some of your threads before (the E one, the coke purification one, etc.) and followed you pretty closely.

This thread and what you're doing makes me proud and warm inside to know that kicking a shit habit like that is possible with the help of love, kindness, and warmth.

You rule man.

Thanks, bro! And you rule as well! ;)

Do it the same way you did for the 3-4 months you quit before except this time don't start using again lol...

IME coke can be very "out of sight, out of mind," although after so many years it's a surprise (I assume a pleasant one :-).

Unless you want to hear about cocaine over & over again, I'd stay away from 12 step meetings. I was a pretty solid member back in the late 80s (NA literature memorized) and frankly I don't think it's any good for former coke user to keep replaying that tape over & over again. Unless you need the social support, which it seems you already have at home, I'd say don't even bother.

So far, the days seem really, really long. That's not a bad thing at all, it's just that now I'm totally aware of everything around me. Before, the days just kind of blended all together in a total blur. Well that, and they seemed to just repeat themselves over and over again. Kind of like in that movie, "Groundhog Day". I can see what you mean that things are going to start feeling kinda weird. They already are, and I'm only finishing day # 8!

Guess who's going to bed at 12:52am tonight? You got it!

Thanks again for all the support. I'll keep you posted as to any cravings, when and why, if I flunk and so on.................

later, Le Junk ;)

I never had "cravings" just seemed like in some places or situations my mind would say "hey ...this is a coke activity whats up".......every time I was somewhere or doing something that I used to do while on blow..... shits funny like that.. anyway......keep on Le!!!!! you are over the hump !!

I used to iv coke, but quit. I can't explain why or how. But sometimes if i crave it, i think about the week-long soul-crushing hangover that always seems to follow a binge. The cravings were the worst during the first month after I quit, then they would gradually fade iin the following weeks after that first month. I would still try it maybe once a year for a few years, but haven't touched it for several years now.
If you're interested in a shamanic cure, as an alternative to a long iboga trip, I would think about 5MeO-DMT -- the trip lasts only a few minutes, but in those few minutes, you may have the opportunity to have some profound insights about yourself, the meaning of life, why you craved coke so much in the first place. That's not how I quit coke, but having tried 5meOdmt, it seems like something that could help.
Keep us posted.

Why not take the wife out for a nice night out? It'll help you stop a craving AND probably get you laid... =D
