NATIONAL: Soundwave Festival 2011

I've got a ticket. Sydney better not be as crap (venue wise) as it purportedly was last year. Maybe I should just take my own water and shade.
 
^ Don't forget to bring your own personal helicopter unless you fancy the 2-3 hour drive back to the city
 
I'm going to just butt in here, but NickyJ; how on earth can you have uni that early? I don't know of any place that starts before 1st May (unless your a med student ofc)...

Even if you have uni... PRIORITIES mate! :P You can always repeat a semester, you can never repeat a concert you've missed! ;) haha
 
Definitely thinking about it, the lineup is too good to not consider it at least.

Don't really like the RNA showgrounds as a venue though, it reminds me of a dust bowl. :\

You owe to future generations to be able to say I saw Iron Maiden, Slayer, Queens Of The Stone, Primus and Melvins all in one day!

*Disclaimer note may not be possible due to clashes but you could catch part of each set to make last statement true!
 
Just make sure you're not to close to the front in case one of them has a heart attack and drops a guitar on your head!
 
Is anyone going to any side shows?

I'm going to The Bronx and Social Distortion one at the Enmore. Two of my favourite bands packed into the Enmore - fuck yeah!

Bigger crowd means nothing. I'm sure Backstreet Boys pull a big crowd. That doesn't mean they're any good.

Also as for better crowd, enjoy hanging with a bunch of 40 year old bogans smoking their winnie blue rolling tobacco and hacking their death rattle in your face.

Old metal sucks so badly. All those singers sound like their balls are caught in a vice. Fuck Led Zep. and fuck Iron Maiden and their pathetic ilk!

Lp each to their own and reports from mates who saw Maiden when they were recently here say that still put on a god damn good show!

Without old metal their wouldnt be new metal! So i suppose u think fuck any music that wasnt made in the last 10 years!

And for the record i hope to still be listening to live music both old and new when i am 40 and i smoke drum not winfield.
