Fuck me, what a day. Change of venue was shit, the Showgrounds were like a maze.
Haha, i actually drove to the wrong venue initially because i had been out of the country a few months leading upto the festival and it still said Blue Steel on my ticket; i was like.. fuck, so where is it? I would of just caught the train had i known earlier, hell of a fuckup on my behalf lol!
I totally got searched by the sniffer dogs they had out around 3:00pm.. despite having nothing on me!

The cops looked pretty disappointed when they didn't find anything hehe.
My highlights were definitely:
Iron Maiden, Slayer and Rob Zombie... Despite Maiden playing mostly new songs i still enjoyed them, i didn't expect a great deal, there World Tour in 2008 still remains as one of my all-time favorite concerts by any band. Slayer was brutal as, had some dudes in the tree's shaking the branch's while headbanging and a few people with cuts to their face, awesome set. Rob Zombie was just win all-around.. it was so good to finally hear some of those tracks live, use to listen to them heaps during the 90's.
The topless chicks in the mosh during Slash made for an interesting set, was nice to hear them end off with Sweet Child'O'Mine and Paradise City!
Overall, epic day.. the only thing i hated was the huge distance between Stage 1 and Stage 4.. i had to run between sets through narrow walkways, around corners and down hills.. what a freaking maze lol.
