I'd like to see the liberal party deal with the economy now that there's nothing left of Telstra to sell.
Don't follow Mark Lathams advise.
It may prove something with large scale convergence but without that its just a box full of wasted votes around the country
Thanks Gillard, looks like you may have cunted the country!
Its really disappointing, I thought the Australian people would have learnt their lesson after the Howard years. Sometimes, the electorate never ceases to amaze me.....
Firstly, Australia's national debt is NOT out of control. Sometimes its necessary for the government of the day to actually spend money, i.e the stimulus package, infrastructure projects and the like. There really is nothing wrong with the government investing in the future by building and developing the things we need. Instead, assuming the Liberals manage to form a minority government, we can look forward to budget cuts in "wasteful" areas like health, education and welfare over the coming years.
Secondly, its still hard to believe that the asylum seeker issue resonates so strongly with the Australian public. The vast majority of the voting public seem to think that we have hoards of people swimming ashore, this simply isn't the case. Most asylum seekers arrive by plane, anyhow. Considering the number of illegal aliens in the US, and I'm not trying to compare the illegals to asylum seekers, American politicians must be amused at the hysterical nature of Australian voters.
There's a whole heap of issues that I could continue ranting about, but I think I'll just leave it for now. Its just that while Labor wasn't setting the world on fire, and they had been out of government for a while, the alternative is so much worse.
The vast majority of the voting public seem to think that we have hoards of people swimming ashore, this simply isn't the case.
I would almost vote for the Greens, but first of all thats a waste of time .
and second of all voting for the Greens is basically voting for the Labor party since they get a majority of the Greens preferences.
