That sucks about your car Memphis. Pretty cool cop too. I feel like if that happened up here the cops would likely call a tow truck because the vehicle is unsafe to drive. They tend to excel at kicking you when you're down around here and that's about all they're good for.

The weather is fucked. Yesterday it was 50 out and on my way home it was 9.

Yeah that shit is bizarre. I was thinking the same thing yesterday when I saw the forecast.. How can it be 50 one day and single digits the next? Nuts.

I heard it's supposed to be in the 40's by the weekend though so this cold snap isn't going to stay, thank god. Compared to 5 degrees, 40 is going to feel like summer time.
 
Yeah I walked down to the store at the end of my street today and I could not believe how bad my face and fingers hurt from five minutes of exposure. When I got there I saw some poor guy fixing one of the gas pumps. Bet he makes more money than me though so fuck it.
 
Weather.com ays its 10 F where I am at. And it feels like -6. I've been wondering what the "it feels like" means exactly, is that the same as windchill or is it something different?

But it has to be even worse to work pumping gas in that kind of weather. All the people who are on the fence about pumping their own gas will definitely go full serve and keep themselves warm. People should be tipping those guys in this weather. When its 70 and sunny then screw 'em, their job is pretty easy and I'm sure it pays something comparable to their skill level and effort. But when they are risking frostbite to fill your tank up, I'd throw them a buck or 2 on top of the 50 it costs to fill my tank these days.

Pretty sure when they say what the temp feels like, it just means with the windchill factored into the actual temp, the two of them together.

Can't wait for the warm weather this weekend. Fuck this cold snap. Even florida is in the forties right now.
 
Met a blue lighter irl today. Cool dude, very knowledgeable and intelligent. He's chill and would be a good addition to the social. I'm going to try to get him to start pitching in.

I can't wait to get out of this cold. I'll be working in S.C. next week, last I checked it's going to be in the 60's. I'm so sick of this cold weather. I can't wait to move south. I've had enough.

Memphis, that's crazy that no one stopped. .That's one good thing about New England, people almost always stop to help someone out. That's my experience anyway. I'm glad to hear you weren't hurt.

Word, its just factoring in windchill and in the summer it factors in humidity.

So glad i live in CA and dont have to deal w the "polar vortex" vs. But i grew up in Alaska so ive had my fair share of the cold. Itd get so cold our car batteries would freeze.

Where in Alaska? North, south? I met this chic a couple weeks ago at a bar in Brooklyn who was from Barrow. She said it was cold as shit and could snow literally any month out of the year, even summer. Her dad was a walrus hunter or some shit, hah.
 
Monday it was -15f today it's 40f and rain. The weather is crazier then my woman.(maybe not quite that crazy)
