Mexico has sent their military to patrol the streets already. And there's been a lot of controversy about this. People are turning up saying that the government is murdering innocent people, disguised as the narcs, to bring a bad image to the narcs.
Well, they aren't 'disguising' as narco's since they are, in many cases, working as narcos. See, the same $ that's caused this problem always will, and always has, caused such corruption.
There's no shortage of collaboration between the military and the cartels, but at least the military is there to jump in and quell street-shootouts as needed

(and say "narco's" instead, I can tell you're not from the US, the way you're saying it sounds like a synonym for 'cop' ;P )
Everyone knows the Mexican and American government is involved with this scandal.
Of course they are, they should be
/tho not the way they are

But, this problem is far too big for them to be uninvolved.
Trust me, there is no need to bring a foreign military to this area. What is needed is to legalize all drugs thus eliminating narcs.
qft
This problem will be here until the drug-market is dramatically changed, it wouldn't matter if we stationed UN troops all over mx.
Or another theory to reduce the violence is to legalize arms to its citizens. The narcs commit so much crime because they know they're the only ones with the guns.
Terrible idea. In the US, arms laws can be seen as restricting law-abiding citizens but not hurting criminals; in mx, legalizing arms would do FAR more to help cartels than citizens.
They can enter any house or highjack any bus and know that everyone is powerless against them BUT if the citizens were armed I'm sure they would think twice before entering a home or fucking up regular people the way they think twice before fucking with other narcs who they know for a fact are armed.
Wouldn't work. They don't run/back down from other cartels, police, etc, they're not going to be afraid that the dude in the blue flannel may be packing.
It's ironic how Cid. Juarez, Mexico is considered the most dangerous city in mexico ("Juárez's murder rate was the highest reported in the world "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ciudad_Ju%C3%A1rez#Crime_and_safety ) and right across the border El Paso, Tx is considered the safest city in the U.S. "In 2010 CQ Press ranked El Paso safest city in the U.S. with a population over 500,000.[27]"

Didn't know el paso was so safe.. and yeah, juarez has been a warzone
so no, i don't think the violence will come to the U.S.
it won't come - it's already here
