Mustard on Hamburgers

i like all kinds of mustard, deli/spicy mustard, yellow mustard, honey mustard

for all the mustard likers out there, are yall partial to a particular kind?

like i said ill use just about any of em, cept honey mustard, i love honey mustard but wouldnt dream of putting it on a burger or dog, fries on the other hand ill use any kind i can find

but here in texas yellow mustard is the gold standard, i used to work at Jersey Mikes which makes thier sandwiches the east caost way, we tried to only use deli/spicy mustard but we had to have yellow on standby cuz people around here dont seem to like spicy mustard much

gross dude, lol

you like ketchup on pizza too?

look at that, i managed to derail a thread about hamburgers.

^ That's not hard. Bleu Cheese on chicken finger pizza, Buffalo style, was the best. Yum...I miss it. I don't eat hot dogs send them tend to make me kinda sick, but cheese and ketchup definitely. My burgers are actually mayo and ketchup.

Nah, no pizza on ketchup. Not that I haven't done that before, when you're eating cold pizza that's been in the fridge for 2 days it needs something to moisten it back up but definitely not a regular practice.
Buffchic pizza with blue cheese for sure. BUT this thread's about burgers. Not hotdogs, not pizza, you're all a bunch of insubordinate bastards. You should be ashamed. Shit, it's like you'd think someone let a bunch of drug users in here or something, you're all so crazy... 8o

I'm from Massachusetts and I love cheese, mustard, ketchup, and relish on my hamburger, yum!!

I don't really like mayo that much at all so I don't usually put or have that on my burger very often.

Part of what I don't like about mustard is the very, very strong smell of mustard that seems to enter my nose if the room is otherwise smell free. It just smells incredibly funky to me-like smelly feet sort of.

Yeah, that's one of the things I hate most about mustard, any kind. While I know sense of smell and taste are related/ connected, when I eat mustard I almost feel as though I am smelling it rather than tasting it, and it lingers for so long after I eat it. The consistency is weird too. (That and I don't like the flavor to begin with...)

Heh I always thought of most new yorkers as a bunch of fuck holes, but that's damn sensible right there. Man you just earned points in my book for your entire area of your state.
I hate having to ASK to not have mustard on a friggin fast food burger of all places where it does not belong. I can understand on like a real footlong hotdog or something sure i get it but why burgers? especially cheap shitty dollar menu ones too

In Chicago they usually put mustard on burgers, but I hate mustard on ANYTHING, so I always tell them I don't want it on my shit. :) haha.

In Cali a lot of places put thousand island. They also put mayo, mustard and ketchup. I don't like condiments that much, just a little ketchup so I always have to ask "No mayo, no mustard, no thousand island, no secret sauce, no ketchup, just a few ketchup packets." that way I can put the right amount that I like. Also I had a burger with A-1 sauce and a chili pepper and sour cream, it was most tasty. Oh, my wife loves peanut butter with extra pickles on her burgers, she says it's very yummy, but I haven't tried it myself.

theres this place in west lafayette IN called (i think, cant quite remember) the XXX...coffee joint, basically, but they also have food, 50's diner style basically....but they ahve a burger with peanut butter on it. i was really high one time and got it as a joke, but boy, i never regretted it. it sounds weird, but peanut butter on a burger with pickles is fucking amazing

I just had a conversation about peanut butter on hamburgers last night. Apparently its a Chico thing and its really good as much as I love peanut butter this just seems odd.

On topic- I honestly have no idea if they put mustard on hamburgers here in CA. Some places like McDonald's and Burger King do but as far as real burger places I can't recall. The thousand island dressing does thing is fairly common.

its all about ranch dressing with your pizza

if you never tried it, you owe yourself..it sounds strange but tastes so good

They don't even carry mustard in fast-food restaurants by me.

Relatively same area, but yes, this seems to be true in my experience. There are no mustard "pumps" and if they have it, it's not ever in packets.

Also, a LOT of restaurants (I can say Friendly's for a fact) have it, and have honey...it costs too much to order honey mustard so most places mix their own. That's it's only use. Oh, and in Jewish Delis since they can't toss mayo on you pastrami/corned beef on rye, yumm.

Mustard is good on hamburgers along with ketchup, mayo and A-1.

Now hot dogs are a different ballgame. I think dirty Harry even said it was a crime to put ketchup on hotdogs.

Dirty Harry, although he was a badass mofo, if he ever insulted my use of ketchup on hotdogs would find me waiting next to one of those fucking payphones in the park waiting to punch him in the fucking face. Looks like you didn't answer it in time. Make my day now bitch!

I honestly couldn't fathom not putting ketchup on a hotdog.
I have started to notice lately though that a lot of people do feel that way, I never really realized how many people are mustard only users on hotdogs. Heh, shit if you open my fridge, you'll find ketchup and mayo and salad dressing and hot sauce, but no mustard whatsoever.
