Came across first musculara's for the season in my area, usually good signs that the subs are on the way.

But like everyone 'I'm just waiting for the rain' it seems.

No luck in the pines of rural VIC, some A.Muscaria and a bunch of other species. No subs.

Had some luck at my spot in West Vic today. Not the biggest find, but a good sign of things to come. yay!

Is there any difference between the effects and dosage of subs and cubensis/cyans?

Effects, not that I know of. Dosage, you need about 60% more cubes by weight than subs.

Ended up finding a stunted baby sub and a healthy medium sized one yesterday. Not in pines, in bushland.

Had a first look at some usual spots in SE Melb, only 1 piddley little sub, but a fair few inactives and visible mycelium of some description all over.

Had a look in Canberra yesterday. Not much luck at all, found maybe like 20 or so. Not enough rain I don't think. It's starting to get too cold though, first frost is coming I'm thinking we may have missed the season.
