Movies and Drugs[MEGA MERGED]

yah party monster is hilarious

im a big fan of bongwater, but thats more of a stoner movie.
 
lets see here, ones not mentioned yet: Friday/ Next Friday, Formula 51, Idle Hands, Grass, Reefer Madness (and the new one will probly be fuckin halarious), Rules of Attraction
 
Nothing out of the ordinary.

Favorite drug movie: Blow. I love Johnny Depp and on top of that, it will forever hold a special place in my heart because of all the nights in college spent watching it with close friends and a nice bag of rocket fuel.

But, there's so many, depending on the occasion. A few I think are worth mentioning...

Biggest mindfuck: Fear & Loathing. Followed by Requiem for a Dream and Spun. I like movies that are so familiar in their feeling that even if you're not, you might as well be on the drug(s) yourself.

Best message: Traffic. Excellent flick. Too bad they just don't get it.

Funniest drug scene: Probably the opening of Super Troopers. Fucking classic.

Oldest stoner favorite: Gotta be Half-Baked. I've seen it so many times that I have it memorized. It's not in rotation right now for that very reason. But, it will always be a favorite. I also have a thing for Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back. While it's not really about drugs, if you're high and you watch it, you'll pee your pants laughing so hard. Or maybe it's just me. Either way, it cracks me up.

Newest stoner favorite: Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. I'd heard it wasn't that good, so I put off watching it. But, whatever dipshit told me that was dead wrong. If you like stoner movies and you haven't seen it, please do yourself a favor and get it.
 
Harold and kumar was awesome... it just lacked something... just one thing, but no one could put thier finger on it.

formula 51 was fucking terrible, talk about a movie that just spreads more misconceptions about drugs around

also i thought harold and kumar was fucking hysterical, but then again i smoked like 3 grams out of a hooka while watching it.

HERO - the colors...brillant. The fight scenes - classic and beautiful.

Beaches - don't ask me..I once watched it 8 times in a row while blowing mad k. Now it's a K-lassic for me. :shrug:

12 Monkeys - on K this isn't even a movie...the shit really happens. Love it.
 
Trainspotting, I have seen alot of movies and if you like opiates or are interested in them I suggest you watch this movie first.

american beauty. it doesnt revolve around drugs (just pot) but it is somewhat a major part. its my favorite movie
 
"Human Traffic" was also a cool and accurate representation of the club/drug culture :)

And i know im gonna cop a bit of flack for saying this, but: Scarface is shite :p

Half baked: a fucking hilarious look at stoner life ;)

For everyone that keeps saying "Fear and loathing...", have you read the book? Yes the movie is awesome, but the book will blow you away.

kinda missed the point of the thread ;)

We're looking at films that have a drugs as a major theme within it, not ones you like to watch whilst fucked :)
