Also with Johnny Depp is "Dead Man", 1995 b&w western indie type movie. Depp depicts a fictitious William Blake, the poet that wrote:
"When the doors of perception are cleansed man will perceive everything as it is, infinite..." (from my head, so might be phrased a little different). And for those that didn't know, Blake's poetry inspired Aldous Huxley to write "The Doors of Perception", which inspired Jim Morrison's band name "The Doors".
The movie is quite good, cool Neil Young soundtrack, lots of flashbacks and some reference to Native American peyote use. Oops, just realised this is no "Rec drug", sorry, Mods feel free to move it to the "Movies to watch while on..." thread.
