ive changed my tune a little on this one popey, the only thing thats making this forum move so fast is how many damn events people go to. Because of the huge numbers, every man and their dog so to speak are posting up meetups (which is totally cool, I would never discourage this) but thats what accounts for the forum being busy. The social side is acutually pretty damn dull if you ask me! I went hunting the other day and there are, all up about 15 social posts that are of bumping quality

Now, if we had a social forum perhaps this would change? Dunno, but all I know is that the meetups forum would move just as quickly as it is now.
But, to confuse people more, yes, I'm in favour of a social forum where we can talk about nice restaurants and good record shops and relationship delemas etc...
But until this idea gets a bit of support, its just not goint to happen I dont think.

well... we have vito-ed this and all the mods agree, there is going to be a new social forum. Like it or lump it, this forum is getting too busy, and a social forum will open the boundries up a little. If this makes you grumpy, all I can offer you is some xanex that I have in the cabenet.
Also tarsarlan, if your up for it, you can take the third mod spot as you are the one who has pushed for this the most

Or at least both Haste and I would love for you to be mod.
As for content. Pretty much whateva you feel. It has to be appropriate. We will not tolerate posts about how sore your pussy is after you scrubbed it with steel wool (this is a joke, but you get the point, just check the american forum)
No, it doesnt have to be rave/music/drug specific. Just nothing too over the top, but we are very flexible.

i think one issue that is also being discussed without the knowledge of most people is whether the site is actually going to look like it does now. they are considering making a black background with white writing.. this is really really a bad idea and you people should go in there and tell them that this is a bad idea and you disagree and if anything, just make it look more blue, but definitely not black. look at this thread in the announcements forum:

oh, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! any interstaters (ie, non-melbournites) you will have first preference. This is by no means a dis to mikeysammy, who I know would do a great job.
But we ARE looking for an interstate person over a melbourne bluelighter, so please, any interest would be more than welcomed.

But I am in agreeance with folk from other regions doing the job. I think Aus bluelight is mostly made up of people from melb... that's the reason for so many melbourne mods.
