^Fucking benzo withdrawal- kinda mild as I'm on the most pussyarse tapering schedule, but still- there is a localised earthquake beneath me. Makes me feel weird, not anxious, just fucken weird.

Downtempo mainly. Trying to add a breakcore or idmish feel into my songs.

Nice, I'd love to have a hear- breakcore I find so difficult to create, because of v.snares really; I simply don't have the patience to go all nutty with drums and huge rolls and pitch changing and stuff. I make or made psytrance for years, more heading into dark black ambient land atm, lotsa drones and eerie field recordings fucked with and then fucked with some more. I am trying to make music that sounds like psychosis and satan! :D

One thing I LOVE about Venetian Snares is the 7/8 time signature. Always trips me out....but yeah, post some of your stuff, you'll find tunes of mine around and about (though I've produced under many different names)...

Actually, lightning does strike up from the earth to the sky.

You will notice this if you film a lightning strike and watch it in slow motion.
 
^Oh thanks joke-killer :D Thats intriguing- is that always the case? It can't be, because how could there be lightining "strikes" on people- or is a case of taking two to tango kinda thing?
 
This is one of the most beautiful sunrises ever. It is thundering/lightening and raining, and yet I can still see some blue sky with the edge of the storm covered in orange.

also, I must say, sunrises are better than sunsets. Maybe its because i'm usually coming down of a substance after a crazy ride and it is so peaceful, who knows.

A random fact about me, I Love to sleep in and stay up late, however my favorite time to be intoxicated is early morning. interesting...

another also, Swillow where is a place I can upload one of my tunes?

^Yep, likewise about early mornings- I used to get up around 4-5am specifically to get fucked up :)

Um....now theres lotsa places to upload music. Yousendit is a good one, but it expires pretty quick I think. I'll try and remember some more.

Same here, actually. :) Morning is a wonderful time to be awake, but sleep schedule is not accommodating.. although every time I've ever blasted off on DMT, it's been at sunrise (I set my alarm). DMT and sunrises are THE perfect combo.

Another reason why I find that true is after a night of unimaginable adventures and journeying sometimes it can easily be a suprising wonder to discover that a new day will follow, and seemingly endless darkness is broken. A new day like a new world, very symbolic for rebirth... I don't know but that seems less obvious than a gradual sunset.
 
See, Ive got a few bad morning memories, coming down off meth and just redosing until the walls are talking.

But- I do so love to get up early and smoke a pipe, be it DMT or cannabis. Seems perfect, tho with the latter its back to bed pretty quick.

Tripping at night is fun, because there can be so many things that you can't see properly- due to the darkness I guess :\- but there is so many things to get mistaken by. Like seeing people, always people, somewhere ahead of me, whispering, dancing until I get THERE and it was just a tree moving.

DMT seems a good mid-morning psychedelic too- just when the sun is kissing the earth and all feels right, I like to puff away and chill in the sun, usually with my dog (who strangely has multiple heads at that point) sitting next to me. Also- one must bury their faces in grass when on deemsters; it speaks.

Nope, It goes both ways (like a bisexual =D.. Groan.. :! lol)

It depends on the charges. Lightning always strikes (-) to (+). If the ground is negatively charged (-) (electron dense) and the clouds are positively (+) (electron lacking) charged, lightning will strike from the ground to the clouds. The reverse is also true and seems to be more common. I have seen cloud to ground most often but have also seen ground to clouds.
 
Ya thas correct, positive (in the cloud) is the more rare form but also about 10 times more powerful.

Holy crap this social thread has grown quickly!

I'm looking to have a strong, intense, awesome trip on the weekend. I have available to me a variety of substances, feel free to suggest which one, or combos, and dosages would be your ideal trip, out of:

4-aco-dmt

dxm (pure powder)

and of course weed.

Either way, it's going to be a good weekend :D
