Miscellaneous Rants (part IV! tee hee hee... oh no, part VI)

this season has been so fucking bad, i truly believe they can't dig their way out of it
 
^ I kinda see what your saying. But I still love it.

Adam needs to be more badarse and peter petrilli needs to get evil and be in ka-whots (I didnt spell that right) with Sylar.

There's no real mega mega BAD GUY in this season.

Shows like this deteriorate after season 4 usually, but this one looks like it might deteriorate sooner then that.

I personally think they need a character like Vegeta in the show and they should all have dragon ball z like power levels.

here's where they have fucked up

1) you have 2 'invincible' characters. Peter and Sylar. now at the beginning of this season, both were reset to zero powers, only to be fully powered at the end of the season. what do they propose to make these characters interesting again?
2) the MAGICAL blood. claire and adam/kensei's blood can now bring people back from the dead. taken into consideration that no-one takes deaths in comic books seriously due to how often characters are resurrected, the emotional impact of the death of a character is absolutely nil now
3) the 'big bad' (to steal a buffy phrase) of this season was defeated within two episodes.

TWO FUCKING EPISODES.

the character of parkman's dad was totally wasted.

season 1 = awesome until the last episode where it dropped the ball
season 2 = absolute shite

Sylar and Peter are not invincible though. The writers are making us assume that a gun shot to the head (shotgun blow, hundreds of brain pieces) will kill Adam, Clair and Peter. But in one episode Clair got a peice of wood stuck in her head and was sorta dead until some doctor person took the stick out of her head, THEN she was able to come back from the dead. So I'm not totally sure that taking their heads off (full decapitation or squished) will kill them.

Everything else you say is right.

and yes Parkman's dad was wasted.

I liked most of the episode, though I do agree with you about the invincible and limitlessly powerful characters.

Indeed, at the moment Hemingway gets me through those brief afternoons of spare time I have, but soon someone else will have to take the reigns.
 
People complaining so much about the rain piss me the fuck off. We bloody need it people!! We are definitely much better off than when everything was dry as fuck. People can be so self absorbed at times.

Yeah the rain is cool. I like wild weather in general. Although i just got home from driving through the city and rain + city drivers = one fucked up experience. Some people just can't drive, and torrential rain only exasperates the problem.

yeah i had the same discussion last night with my gf so i just did her ironing before to keep her satisfied for atleast an hour! Ha. Im fucked on poppy tea now so i dont think im going to be moving much the rest of the afternoon! :)
 
It's a good day for it, why the hell not i say.

And yeah ironing sucks, good choice on which chore to do. It's either ironing or dishes that keep me happy for a little while.
 
Melbourne has a typically mediteranian climate... ie wet winters and dry summers.
You're rain at the moment, although not typical of summer, is likely due to the La Niña effect.
