Somewhere back on the first pages of this thread, I came to ask about some stuff relating to meth use in the homosexual community in Auckland. Due to ethical concerns and lack of funding, my formal study has turned into an informal study, something I do in my own time.
In order to understand the effects of meth use first hand, I traveled to an Asian country where I could experience it first hand and in the past month, I have finally finished my conclusion and finished my study on what I wanted to find out.
Of the 27 (was aiming for 30, but 3 backed out and did not agree to take part) people I interviewed and shared experiences with, 26 of them were what I would call 'functioning addicts', as in they held steady jobs for more than a span of 12 months and for those who did free lance work (4 of them), none of them have reported any troubles with finding employment.
22 persons were classified as middle class according to their relative wage in that country and only 10 are self reported daily users, with all 27 identifying as 'occasional' or 'weekend' drug users.
