Around the vicinity of Melbourne Park I saw a few posters from Pharmacy(?) about an upcoming event with Cosmic Gate and Joy Kitikonti! =D Any information about this? Or was I just deluded....8(

Pharmacy - April 24th @ Morrabbin Tennis Centre

Cosmic Gate, Joy Kitikonti and Chris Liberator... Plus the usual Pharmacy Crew

I won't be there but though I'd be helpful and provide what limited details I know :)

This thread should be renamed and moved to events I reckon.

^^^Agreed....title changed and thread moved....

--Raz-- =D

I wasen't quite sure of what I saw, so I didnt know what forum it should go into..but thanks Schizo and Raz! So....Whose going! =D

meh.

maybe i shouldn't be so harsh as their set really wasn't suited to the timeslot, but after catching cosmic at godskitchen last year, i'm really not that keen.

not only was their track selection just atrocious for their time, but they also fucked up quite a few mixes. this time last year i would have been ecstatic about these guys coming out, but that sorta ruined their appeal :\

KillRockStar Entertainment in association with Loaded proudly presents-

Pharmacy [Follow The Leader]

Attention all parents! Report to your local therapists, report to your local church, report to your local police department- its goin’ down! The infamous Pharmacy fire starters return through the looking glass for another tale from the dark side. Join us in our empire of dirt as Melbourne’s original black magic boys once again prescribe their patented prescriptions of filthy acid punk, nosebleed techno for the soul and of course a smattering of grinding hard trance for good measure! Baby, we’re addicted to drums and slaves to the dark beat!!

Gracing the Pharmacy decks are none other than hard trance maestros Cosmic Gate, the lord of London underground acid techno- Chris Liberator, the Italian techno stallion Joy Kitikonti and of course Pharmacy’s very own pretty little hate machine- The Hellraiser!

For the first time Pharmacy is featuring the Zoo Breaks stage serving up lashings of dark electro and a bucket of Kentucky Fried Breaks. Please welcome from the wilds of Sydney the white horse of TripleJ- Sharif plus local Lasergun electro hero- Dave Pham!

The revolution will NOT be televised- the revolution is already here!

Cosmic Gate [Germany]
Dj and production team Claus Terhoeven [Nic Chagall] and Stefan Bossems [DJ Bossi] are the duo responsible for hard trance hymns Mental Atmosphere, Firewire, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, The Drums and the seminal Exploration Of Space. As if that wasn’t enough they were also behind the massive remix of Ferry Corsten’s Punk as well as taking up remix duties for the best of best including Tiesto, Rank1, Dumonde plus Blank & Jones. Buoyed by appearances at the likes of Nature1, Trance Energy, Sensation and Gods Kitchen it is little surprise that the wonder team this year crashed into DJ Mag’s Top 100 list at number eighty-six… Welcome to the Cosmic Gate.

Joy Kitikonti [BXR, Italy]
Joy is a DJ of the heart; a heart that beats, pulses and radiates emotion. He is a man of few words, truly allowing his music to speak for him. The partner in crime of one time BXR boss Mauro Picotto, Joy Kitikonti’s crossover anthem Joy Energiser is without question one of the defining releases of the tech-trance movement. A true musician plus a technically brilliant deejay, Joy has enjoyed continued success with the follow up smash Joy Don’t Stop and again with his current release Porno Joy… Truly masterful and not to be missed!

Chris Liberator [Stay Up Forever, UK]
Born out of the London punk rock scene Chris Liberator was one of the founding fathers of London’s acid techno underground. Besides his prolific work for Stay Up Forever plus Smitten, Routemaster, Boscaland, Bionic Orange, Hydraulix and Cluster under a range of different monikers [including work with Guy ‘Geezer’ McAffer, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, D.D.R, Rowland The Bastard, Lawrie Immersion and John Truelove] Chris has played all across the globe, even being the first western DJ to work in the former iron curtain states of the once USSR. As well as being co-owner of Stay Up Forever, Chris runs his own techno labels Maximum:Minimum and WahWah plus tech-house label Yolk. Techno purists suck on this!

[The Incredible Vibrating Rocket-man Room]
Cosmic Gate, Joy Kitikonti, Chris Liberator, Hellraiser, Scott Alert, Dee Dee, Nexus, Master Kaos, Richie Braic, Stevie B, Timteq… [Visuals by Kontinuum]

[Zoo Breaks]
Sharif [Triple J, NSW], Dave Pham [Lasergun], Jason Rudeboy Esquire, Hell Kitte, Nigel Jacotine, Osyris, Hiho De Silva

[Back To Ours]
Head ‘back to ours’ for an eclectic mashup of all things bootlegged, pop, rock, hip hop, punk, funk, reggae, weird and alternative.
[Lineup announced soon]

Anzac Eve: Saturday 24th April 2004
Moorabbin Indoor Tennis Centre. Cochranes Rd. Moorabbin [Melways- 78 C7].

A mere 20 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD this fantastic new warehouse style venue is situated in the heart of Moorabbin’s industrial zone. Pharmacy will transform this massive space in their usual fashion by introducing the monster Martin Concert Sound System (we like it loud!), the twisted visual machinations of the Kontinuum krew plus a freak or two for good measure. The rabbit hole never looked so far down! Limited on site parking- please car pool!

Ticket outlets etc coming very soon!!! Stay tuned!!!

will there be public transport going kinda near the venue?

Certainly is, Moorabbin Station is a 5 minute drive from the venue and there are plenty of taxis waiting there at all hours of the night.

wooHOO!!! maybe ill make it to this one!

*still grumbling aobut her stupid ghey friend who scared everyone last september and left her sobbing in her little dark room with a useless ticket... turnedout he deciede not to bother coming*

sigh. see u there! bring on april!

Anyone have a URL in regards to this event?

Also, a Taxi from Moorabbin station to the Indoor Tennis Centre would cost you ~$5

For those who don't use public transport all that often, Moorabbin Station is on the Frankston line. METRO TRAINS MAP

Saw this advertised in Inpress the other week and started getting stupidly excited already. One of my favourite acts Cosmic Gate, at one of my favourite places, Moorabin. It can't get much better :) (Unless it rains like at the last Pharmacy and we're stuck waiting in the rain for the toilet for ages. But who cares. It's Pharmacy!!!)

YEAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! COSMIC GATE IS RETURNING!!!!=D

Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the poster at 2Tribes.

Went to the Reaaktor when Cosmic Gate played a 3 hrs set. They really rocked QBH that night. I didn't stop dancing for the whoel 3 hrs. Definiely one fo the best dance parties I have been due to theri great 3hrs set.

However, their 1&1/2 hr set at Godskitchen last year was abit dissapointing. They should hav done better than that. Just hope that Pharmacy will be giving them more hours to spin so thaty can rock the indoor tennis court down... Please let them spin at least 2&1/2 hrs... Pls, pls, pls......

WOO i shall be there.
yes, as for cosmic at gods last year, didnt suit the time slot. but maybe this event will be diff, well lets hope.
yay back to morrabbin tennis centre WOO haha, ive had some fun times there.

My feelings about Pharmacy are well known.

I liked this venue last time, I'm sure I'll like it again, and BRING ON THE COLD WEATHER! Nothing makes the tennis centre rock like a thousand people who gotta dance or they'll freeze. OK, nothing makes a tennis centre rock like Cosmic Gate and usual Pharmacy suspects.

I'll be down the back again, scaring the small people.

(Anyone see us swinging people by their arms and legs during the morning set last time? Five bucks a go this time, my back was fucking killing me the next morning and I'll need to pay for Panadeine).

Chris fukken Liberator!!!

=D

*throws a handful of bank notes and busty virgins at PeterPoppa*

Havent seen Chris Liberator for years. was thinking the other week how cool it would be to see him again!! You just made my day=D

Gonna be a big one for sure%)
