Melbourne - Hardware presents Jeff Mills @ The Metro - Fri 19th November 2004

Yeh I'm assuming that there would have been more tix available to Sasha sold than there will be to Mills. Ticket numbers will be capped to ensure that it isn't overcrowded etc.

So pumped now it's getting closer!

Where I be? Screaming up the front.

Where you be? Right by my side.

JEFF JEFF JEFF JEFF.

One more time for the people in the back...

Spoke to a friend who went to Sasha last night and she said it was stinking hot inside the venue. So looks like I'll hold off till Kryal, as much as I hate kryal too.

Jesus I'm sounded jaded these days.

Shut up! Your coming!

How can u resist? I don't care if there is going to be sweat dripping from the ceiling (hello altona, haha)

I'm going into this with no expectations, and im putting a techno ban on myself untill the mills...

I'm keen. Front and center during Mills' set. Afterwards would be fine for a meetup...

Or just search for the group of people that look munted yet simultaneously very, very jaded

I'm sure there will be hundreds (if not thousands) of people there, looking like that. :p

Well I had a great night, it was my first time seeing Mills play and enjoyed it immensely. Great track selection, mixing technique was asolutely awesome and the video images were a highlight. Dave Pham played a fantastic set and should have had a much better time slot, Ben Cromack should make his way overseas coz he really is Australia's best local DJ, what a ripper set from him.

Overall venue was ok, crowd was not the best but standable and what can I say a good techno party once again, getting stronger and more people are realising what techno is about!

wow!

first tech party i've been to in like 3 years............ and about the first time i'd heard tech in about 2 years!

have seen mills twice before but this was the best by far.

I'm so not a fan of hard banging as fuck tech....... but mills dished it out so nice with tribaly, funky, melodic and even psychedelic techno.

Had a wickid night, crowd was pretty good (i thought the scene would have gone a lot more downhill to be honest) and has a wickid time stompin away.

I really tranced out hard to mills..... and i loved his techno so much because it created such a journey. at one stage i lost the shoes and went beserko until a security gaurd told me off :p

awsome night

8/10

Very good night indeed. Mills played an awsome set. His track selection was out of sight, and how good was that video thing? But as Hardware parties do, we couldnt have a major international play without a cut out from there amazing sound system.

Its a real shame that Dave Pham doesnt get the recognition he deserves from the promoters out there.... Along with Mills and Cromack, he also definately played a standout set of the night. I think he deserves to be playin in a more deserving time-slot.

All in all very good night. Cant wait for the next one.

*shrugs*

His video thing was overrated. I would rather have seen his hands on the decks and mixer than a fractured recording of him.

Nonetheless, his set was goodly. I reckon I was a little too pumped for him in advance, as it didn't quite live up to expectations. Tracks were goodly too though, I must say.

a good night, that one

I hate every single person that went and had a good time. :X

Sounds like the night was a major improvement on his set @ Homelands 2003. I wish I could have gone now. :(

Plus how could I have missed meeting up with Millsy?? :( ;)
