Melbourne Food Society - Fri 31st Aug - Japanese!

I'm going to be in Melb on the 24 of Aug, I know it's a while off but I thought it best to give you lot advanced warning do you can either

a) Skip town till I leave (27th)
b) build a shrine and organise a banquet in my honour =D

one of these dinners would be fantastic ;)
 
hello kids;) is this thing still going? i've recently got back into the idea of going out for meals as apposed to just drinking myself into a stupor. so yea. if it's not still going, let's bring it back from the dead.=D
 
MissGoody2Shoes and I were going to try and organise something but we got sidetracked because we're going to Transmission this weekend. But yeah, we didn't really get into planning mode, the weeks just go so fast.
 
I'll hit this shit up, if something gets organized - the important part of uni is almost over (for another 5 months) so i'm cashed up and not busy.
 
ideas to get the ball rolling.

ok let's get this ball rolling.
*2nd & 3rd of june are good for me.
*city/inner suburbs. (because central is good for PT.)
*not too heavy on the seafood (because i don't like it.)
*preferably cheep
pub grub is a real fave of mine so i vote for that. unless you lot have already done it. let us all see what we can come up with =D

we were gonna organize a pub n parma night, n are still willing to. Maybe we'll discuss/organize it while off chops at Trans haha.
420star they are all good ideas/points, but I suspect the 2nd or 3rd will be too soon for pple to get their shit together n turn up (no offence everyone- jus going off how long previous meetups have taken to come about =D )

I had thought of the wk after but that is a long wkend and night be even harder to get people together (???)

raise ur hands and say aye if you'd come on the 2nd or 3rd. Sat night anyone?..
extra points if you raise ur pirate sword in the air whilst doing this.

And I know a BLer who's having a party on the 2nd, so I daresay a lot of people will be otherwise detained?

23rd sounds good for moi!

I think a Friday night or a sunday arvo. That way Saturday night people wont have to change plans...but if we are going out after maybe Sats the way to go?
(Sunday = hungover in ened of pub food and more booze).

Long weekend on the 10th i think we should just call a write off - people away, Armin VB etc.

Can we have a bit more input on the 23rd, otherwise I'll just change the title to cement the date. And that will be the extent of my "organising" this time, I promise.
