I think either go way early or way later to avoid the dogs...
 
If the dogs are there early, then surely going early is just going to make you an easy target? with not many ppl to sniff, they will spend more time per person earlier on??

and sniffer dogs? hmmm i think they might go a little crazy in the lines, as i am assuming that *most* ppl may be carrying substances of some sort...what are the police going to do with the massive amounts of people that they catch? take it off them? or haul them off to the cop shop?

(and cotb: a camo theme hey? i was hoping the famous boots would make an appearance)

Last week I was in melb for the GP and i was cruising the city shoping and stuff, and there were heaps of people in an alley wearing phatties, i assume it was a day club any one know what it was and style they play there?

it was near russel st, and between bourk & ltl bourke (i think).

That would have been PHD. Day club run every saturday that plays hard trance/dance etc. DJ's like Soul T, Andy Golden, Otek, St Luke etc etc play there.

I'm kinda disappointed that whoever posted the original dj list named Jan Driver and now he's not there... oh well:)

I'll be hugely disappointed if all the BL names I know don't come by my stall to say hi:)

With regards to the sniffer dogs.. the only people I know who've ever been caught have smoked a few j's beforehand. I've never known anyone to get caught if they've been careful with the wrapping of their goods beforehand and washing carefully. As everyone says, with that number of people the dogs will be looking for the strongest scents. Stay away from pot and you'll be fine.

On a side note.. can dogs even smell 1-4? I have heard from multiple souces that this isn't the case.
 
TT is gonna be mad as.

A little paranoid about the dogs, I hope people don't do anything stupid like drop all their stash before they go in, that is no way to promote harm reduction.

But looks like a great night, however I have a few time clashes..... I will probably end up just staying in GK but who knows!

That's Club Altitude, if it was Saturday during the morning-early afternoon it would've been PHD. Its mostly hard NRG, some uplifting trance, they have psy every second sunday I think.

Just curious...what do you mean by wrapping? what would you suggest is a sensible way to wrap consumables to deter the smell? and what sort of washing do u speak of? (ie washing ur hands after touching consumables?)
 
yay cant wait for this one.... hopefully all u mad fuckers will come find me and say G'day. My very first Melbourne rave ever since moving from Perth so im expecting a big one!! *squeels*
 
I have never tried to sneak into a party... since I am initially going to Infected mushroom... I may try to sneak my way in as the sun rises! :D
 
Re: Leprechaun ^^ I've actually got a ticket but on that note, does anyone know how they're doing passouts? Wristbands? Stamps? Both?

Edit: FlyAfterMe, Glad I'll be wearing a skirt.. ;)

And on the note of snifferdogs, that is not good, not good at all.. :(

This thread WILL be closed down if this continues, I'd like to appologise to the few people who are obeying the rules if this happens.



Secondly, it seems that there are a lot of new people around the board these days. Sniffer Dogs ARE and WILL BE, at major events. Its a part of clubbing life your just going to have to deal with. If your unsure about what to do or how to act around these dogs i suggest you all go read the Aus Drug Dicussion Threads. There is a wealth of info on all your sniffer dog needs in the forum next door.



Lastly, please respect the mods here. We don't like to be all nazi like and edit posts, but all we ask is that you follow the guidelines and make our job easier. If anyone has any problems with the guidelines as they are, feel free to PM either myself, Stars or BT who is the Admin for the Aus section of BL.
