when i was stomping in the rain to infected and hallucinogen it definitely had a doof feel to it, i was in a trance actually but i thought the whole festival was not really a doof but then again it wasnt a doof so i guess it wouldnt 8) this was my first festival by the way too so maybe i was just expecting it to be one massive doof ...all in all though i had the maddest time =D
 
haha @ the ducks!
we were camped right next to the 'pond' as it was known, and we we're all disapointed when someone stole the ducks :(
 
First doof I've been to and definately the best time I've had at an event ever.
Lost the people I came up with and lots of other things, but met some truly awesome people and had a fucking ball. Loved the river escecially and atmosphere of the whole place. Can't wait for another outdoor party!!
Forgot about the meetup completely, big hello to MoonFlower who I bumped into by chance.
 
well, i had a really good time :) i'm not gonna say hi to anyone specific, 'cos i caught up and spent time with lots and lots of people, and you all know who ya are anyway - was also good to meet a couple of new faces, but didn't see too many unfortunately.

it was massive...damn. for some reason -though i knew that it would be *big*- i just didn't expect anything quite of that scope, but i was impressed, it was really fun to just wander aimlessly through everyones' camps and meet randoms...always a good time.

the music was also great - a big hand for the siaqua boys (who i'd never seen before but went and caught on the prompting of other blers), who were really fucking good - i seriously enjoyed that almost as much as anything i heard all night (okay, infected may have had it over you just a *little* ;)). also caught a bit of dj luna (yay dutchies! :D) who i wasn't expecting much from but played a very funky and enjoyable set...

infected were certainly the highlight though, they went amazingly off and played to the audience perfectly...

gotta say though (as most others have mentioned) - the lightning and perfectly timed downpour of rain (cooled me down nicely, it was a little hot and sweaty down the front) was one of the most amazing experiences i've ever had - bust-a-move went off like nothing else. really really really amazing! really =D

all in all, a really good time, set-up quite well by the ec dudes, imo, and i def. hope that i'll be back next year (especially if it's there again!). and waz, thanks for posting that article - it's quite heartening to see the positive effect that we were able to have on the local community :D
 
ahh, the ducks

I had made it my LSD-inspired mission to feed them ducks with my mental powers of sustenence and acceptance. The sign commanded me to feed the ducks, yet I was not sure if they were real, a figment of my imagination, or had flown elsewhere for the summer
 
Got a question for all of you to how closely you were watching the stage at the start of Infected, the cogs on the stage went to the music completely in time.

To this point I have not heard of anyone else seeing it.

Had an absolute ball. Even when i pulled a Brownie and thought i was going to die! ;) On par with Rough Rider as best "rave" i have attended. Very proud i managed to abstain from all stimulants for the entire weekend, i feel much better for it this week.

Viva la Canyonero!!!

Great time to hang out with great friends! Listening to great music! Phew... Unbelievable.

Earthcore all the way baby! :D
 
have to add my comment about the ducks - i was like wtf? what are ducks doing in the pond with no water??!! but then i realiseed they were little plastic ones....stupid ppl who stole them :p
 
^^^^^Yeah I know. I saw heaps of people come up to take photo's of themselves and their friends standing next to the ducks. lol

I meet heaps of really sweet people but unfortunately I didnt ask who was a bluelighter or not. Didnt read up on the meet up, if there was one. Worst thing is that its so long til the next EC.

the sunday morning / day really had that old school Goa (as in India) South Anjuna Beach / Bamboo Forest / Hilltribe vibe to it, lovin every minute. daytime lightning rules.

hey, anyone else meet the extradimensional Cloud / Iceberg / pyramidal rainbow-scaled Energy Entity that was full of Eyes, floating very high up somewhere, or was it just me? ;-)
 
man I swear everyone shared the exact same buzz during infected. That entity sounds cool, care to go deeper into what ur talking about?
 
so apparently the next earthcore is going to be held in sydney... maybe its TIME for you melbourne folk to make the trek up... ;)
 
Well.. EC definately did something right this year. Starting from an *awesome* venue, to just an overly well planned weekend. After last year's disappointing effort I was rather skeptical.. but I was happily proven wrong.

Sadly, I didnt get to enjoy Infected and Posford like I would have liked to, as I was absolutely buggered by the time they came on from running around in the heat etc all day, and other random things which used up all my energy. Tho I did quite enjoy sitting up the back and rocking away to the music.. I think I woulda passed out if I'd tried to get near the front, it didnt look very appealing to me at the time.

Overall, I had a fantastic time and its renewed my faith in EC.
