MEGAMIX-Acid/LSD Newbie Questions

The trip starts to take off in about an hour and usually, for me, it goes on steady for another 2 or 3 hours and then it hits a plateau...But it can be a very high plateau...

Now, I woudln't worry if I were you, unless you got extremely powerful acid, you can go outside and wander about...just don't drive or anything silly like that

acid virgin

Hello :)

Might be having acid for the first time soon. Was wondering if it is a social type drug or not?
Like am I going to be able to hold a conversation, or am I going to be completely off in my own little world and not respond to people - and if i take with other people are the same things going to interest me as my friends?

Previously ive only had e, weed and of course alcohol ;) - I know its going to be completely different but thats the experience i have to go off

i have never tried acid either, but i have always wanted to try iy. but i want to be a airline pilot and i dont know if its a good idea or not to have that shit in my spine...

Well it depends on how you respond to the LSD and how many hits you have taken. Yes, you will be off in your own little world but you will be able to respond to people. In fact if someone else takes some cid with you, you might be carrying on what you feel to be one of the most intellectually compelling conversations with them. You just might not shut up! Of course, this is all dose dependent. Some of us crazy people like to take massive doses so that we can hallucinate mad all night, look at the world in a different way ya know? A lot of how you respond to LSD is how you are feeling at the moment which is why you SHOULD NOT take LSD if you are scared to or depressed. Bad trips are scary and they last forever. That's why we turn that frown upside down and think ***happy thoughts ;) ***
For LSD virgins it is always nice to have a "guide" with you, someone that you trust who has used LSD before and can stay with you. I've been a merry-tripper guide for sometime now and we do the best that we can so that others can enjoy the beauty and love of LSD>>>:( I wish that I could find LSD still...Have fun, I know you will!

Depends on the individual and most importantly the dosage of the LSD. Since street quality acid has been known to be as low as 50 mircograms compared to the 60's when 400 wasn't completely uncommon. One blotter will most likely keep you sociable and coherent and not entirely detatched from your body. But it's very hard to be sure about how it will effect you due the quality and how you individually cope with its effects. I personally find the people who you trip with are going to be more interesting to converse with, compared to someone straight or on something else. You seem to develop a closeness to your fellow tripper and feel like your both tuned in to the same station.;)

Be sure you know how much you are taking (roughly at least). I have very interesting experiences in social environments while tripping. I really enjoy it, although I am aloof and on another plane the whole time, and I analyze everything. I'd say a small social setting with trusted and cool friends is best. Have fun.

this is generally accepted to be a myth.
flashbacks could be a problem, but thats all in your head, not because lsd is still in your body.

Like others have said this largely depends on how much LSD you take. As with most psychedelics, there is a point during the trip when I feel compelled to experience the trip without distraction. LSD is so intense that you might not be able to do anything but *be* for a little while.

Once you're over the peak you'll have a nice 6 hour+ cruise down to baseline (although you never really do go back to "baseline" after your first good LSD trip...) and you'll probably have a great time having intellectual/philosophical/theoretical conversations, especially with other people who have taken LSD.

have fun, be safe, choose a comfortable environment above all

Well if I remember correctly madcow was either 14 or 15 years old so it would be expected of him to believe all the non-sense myths about LSD. Madcow, I will try and obtain a fact/myth site that you can check out about LSD. There are too many myths out there about this particular drug that just drive me insane. According to myth I should be in a wheelchair due to my spine problems considering I have dropped approx. 300 tabs in my lifetime, right? Not at all.

i know it's almost impossible but my advice would be, while educating yourself on the safety implications of any drug, to resist the temptation to build up too many expectations regarding the acid trip itself.

one thing i've found with most hallucinogens i've tried is that things rarely go 'according to plan' (not in a bad way).

if you get in a mindset where you expect certain things because 'somebody on BL' said it would and you have a different experience, it could be mentally challenging.

do some research on "set and setting"

there's lots of good advice here - have fun, be safe and have fun exploring the world and yourself. be sure to let us know how it goes?

i took one hit and was with like 3 other people and i saw trails on shit and if i stared at designs i sunk into them and shit like that , i held convos normally. it was alright for my 1st time.

500 mics is a nice healthy dose. Taking much more than that won't really do much, as the psychoactivity plateaus.

I had half a standard 1/4 inch hit of Jesus Christ blotter once, and had nice visuals.

i dont care about the flash backs or anything, i was just saying, they might do a spinal tap or sumthing, and they drug test you randonly when u are a pilot, so i dont want to have acid in my spine or my system, ya know? and i am 17 by the way.....

Sorry about that....anyway to answer your theory, spinal taps are illegal as they can leave you paralyzed. Only certain cases are they allowed to do this procedure. An example would be if they are trying to use the "legally insane" defense on a murder case they can give one to the defendant to make sure that they weren't under the influence of a hallucinigenic drug. There also are surgerical procedures that may require this but only if the patient is willing.

where did you you get the idea that lsd leaves residue in the spinal fluid? urban myth guys..

Easy E is 100% correct, there is NO WAY to test for LSD in spinal fluid - it is a complete myth. Every trace of the chemical has left your body after a day or two - I promise you.

No one will EVER be able to test you for it.

.. not that we're condoning a 17 year old to consume LSD. I would wait a year or two if you are really interested, and try a small dose.
