That tears it, dark chocolate DEFINITELY has an effect on MDMA.
When you take MDMA the Vagus nerve causes changes to your blood pressure. Normally when you eat MDMA, it raises your blood pressure and Norepinephrine is released to make up for that and slow your heart... NE is a major neurochemical in MDMA's magic, and is what causes those "floored" feelings, at least to the best of my knowledge.

However when you snort MDMA the vagus system is largely bypassed and instead of NE being released, adrenaline takes it's place and raises your BP and heart rate even further. That's why snorting seems "speedier"...
And if dark chocolate lowers your blood pressure, then more NE would be released to make up for the imbalance causing more of the "magical" feelings we all love.
So dark chocolate having a direct effect on MDMA's effects is very possible.
