i am trying it this weekend, have been eating small amounts of dark chocolate over the past few weeks finishing today, and plan to roll on sat night at a bush doof. i exercise regularly, run 7km about 3 times a week, however I rolled 3 weeks ago, not quite a month.

just a question - should it be ok to take 5HTP on the come down as well as vit c?
 
It does nothing - Yes its a MAOI, but do you seriously want to eat a huge bar of dark chocolate before you drop? You already know your going to feel like shit off the chocolate - you know MDMA makes you feel like your going to puke on the come up.

Take a break between rolling - test your gear - have (for you) a nice comfortable and safe setting (could be your bed / a field etc). End of story really?

Second, no one ever said to eat a huge bar of chocolate before you drop.

Third, cocoa is a SUPPLEMENT. Just like if you took an iron pill it may not do anything for you, but to someone that suffers from anemia it would be like a miracle drug! If someone is lacking something that cocoa could provide and make their roll better, how is that a bad thing?

My rolls vary in quality from one to the next and they are always with high quality, lab tested mdma, 90 day breaks, healthy physical and psychological states and conducive setting. Who knows why this is, but I'm going to give the cocoa another shot because it did give me good results when I tried it the first time. It may be that the other times I had good rolls without it, I didn't need it's supplementation at that time.

The fact that there is scholarly evidence to a link between chocolate and mdma shows there is SOMETHING to it worth further investigation.

If your concerned with safety of 5-htp so soon after taking mdma, dont take it. Vitamin C and green tea alone make the whole world of difference i think, and its also that kind of peace of mind that your still using harm-reduction.

I wouldnt say the comedown is severe enough as long as you dont take loads of mdma and not too often, suffecient wait is the most important factor ive found.
 
ok so i have an idea/question.
i have a chocolate bar which contains 99% cocoa. its by lindt xD
its SO BITTER and quite gross.

my idea: breaking it up into little pieces (as if i have chewed it up already) and simply swallowing it with water, like tiny little choco-pills.

question(s): good idea? effective? would i need less chocolate (im assuming so)?

plus, the pill i'd drop contains 180mg... so yeah haha xD
i can handle that drop, as i have been able to do so before, but ive never done this chocolate thing so i dont know how to do this :P

im sure you'll know sam, though this goes for anyone out there (:
 
ok, one last question.
i plan on rolling sometime in mid july. its going to be june tomorrow, so like a month or so.
should i start eating chocolate now or do these 1 week or 3 day "attack" doses?
i can handle 78% chocolate. in fact, i find it tasty. im just not a habitual eater.
so should i eat my 78% stuff (like small amounts) daily, then eat the 99% the last three days or just last three days?
 
^ Ive been doing this with 60% cocoa, i did it with higher cocoa % (85%) and that was the day i had a very intense experience.
As for swallowing chunks of chocolate with water? that sounds like a choking hazard. Me personally, i like to enjoy chocolate and wash it down with a nice hot drink because i find that if i were to wash it down with say water, i dunno to me it feels like the fats get stuck in my throat or something lol .

Id just recommend you eat say a few bits of it a day, then dont eat any on the day that you are taking mdma.

Remember that chocolate contains caffeine and other stimulant chemicals so dont eat it in the evening as it may keep you awake :)
 
well i would break it up into tiny pieces.
like, instead of putting a piece into my mouth, chewing it (which breaks it up into tiny pieces in my mouth) then swallowing (ugh!)
i would "chew it", or break it up with my hands into TINY pieces and swallow with water.
so instead of breaking it up with my teeth in my mouth, i would avoid the gross process by doing it manually.

thanks for the tip about not doing it on the day of.

you a few bits a day. could you define "a few bits"? gram wise or in another relatively understandable way.
how many days should i start before the roll?
the sooner i start eating "a few bits" daily the better? or is there some recommended time where i should start the chocolate regimen?

no more than 25grams per day.

I dont eat it myself anymore , as i dont take mdma anymore ,
no reccomended time, just dont eat on the day of taking mdma
 
How did that go?

When i took that pill in my avatar, i had ate about 50g grams 3 hours before dropping my pill, and about 250g within the 2 days before. All I can say is, i wouldnt wish coming up as harsh as that on anyone, i had to be looked after lol
 
I just had to read this entire thread before going to bed. OK, I'm hooked. Will definitely be giving dark choc a go - and will report back on the results.

Can report no noticeable differences, also I didn't get quite the buzz as usual. In fairness I ate about 50g the day before rollin and that was it.
 
I will be trying this tomorrow, five friends and I have been eating dark chocolate for the last two days, not going to eat any tomorrow, unless I should in the morning? I don't plan on dropping til around nine when it gets dark (and its fucking RIDICULOUS that it takes until nine for the sun to go down now, I hate summer) should I try a little in the morning or just none at all tomorrow? I've also been eating dark chocolate covered almonds hoping that the tiny bit of magnesium will help with my jaw clenching. That shit kills me. Anyway, I will be reporting back on how this affects all of us.

We're trying it tonight; I think Darksidesam is just being cautious with his recommendations. According to erowid (http://www.erowid.org/ask/ask.php?ID=2571 ) there is no reason that there should be any danger; I don't know why he had the difficult roll he did (too much mdma maybe?), but I can't find any other reports of there being anyone being in any danger or see any chemical reason why there should be any danger in eating it the same day and/or eating it with a high cocoa percentage.

My bigger concern would be that not eating it the same day and not eating enough would not give enough info on whether it worked or not! If I'm going to try this I want a definitive answer; heck, the chocolate costs more than the mdma!!! :)

We have been preloading for the last five days with 50g/day of 85% quality chocolate (Godiva, Ghirardelli, and Lindt) including the day of the roll.

We are keeping every variable we can think of the same from our previous roll as to compare the influence of the chocolate. This includes, the same drug batch and amount (all lab-tested), time between rolls (3 months), setting, time of night, music, attitude, physical and mental health, temperature, supplements, stomach contents, light toys, etc. etc.
(I keep a roll journal for each and every roll)

I would say yes, i did have a difficult experience, the coming up was so harsh but then again maybe i was anxious, id never been to a festival before and i got separated from my friends, coming up on a 180mg Pill (i hadnt taken any for 7 weeks either) and had no tolerance basically, and i actually lay down for a few mins it was THAT intense lol.
