[Mega] Tryptophan and Dark Chocolate , 'e-diet'

Ok, well despite blatantly ignoring the safety advice from Darksidesam, we are still alive! In fact we didn't have any of the difficulties he had...

The roll was good! I'd rate it an 8/10. BUT, the thing is, that is pretty much an average roll for us. There were no qualities of the roll that stand out as being different than from the natural variances from roll to roll (i.e. sometimes you notice the music more, sometimes the visuals, etc.). This was roll #17 for us, so we have a good sample size.

So like I had said earlier, perhaps this is something that works for people that happen to have a certain deficiency that the chocolate takes care of. We're pretty healthy and happy, roll every three months, and have very good quality mdma, so perhaps we just don't need what chocolate provides...

Also, for some the placebo effect might be powerful. That is a real effect and if you believe it works and it improves your roll, then keep on believing and enjoy it! There's no harm in that!

For us, we'll keep experimenting; we haven't lost the magic and don't plan to, but if there is some supplement or trick that would make every roll an EPIC 10/10, we'll take it!

I am very sure that i have a Dopamine deficiency, as cocaine has virtually no euphoria for me, neither did base, and my depression seems to respond to lots of Tyrosine or taking ketamine (dopamine reuptake Inhibitor)

What about a high Tryptophan diet ?

This must work to a certain extent though, The tryptophan diet, not the dark chocolate alone. I had a friend of mine try it, and when we went out that night, hes pupils were massive, he was very smiley and he hugged me and said hes absolutely fucked and thanks for the tips on the diet, and he said he'd never been that far on mdma before, and he really enjoyed the night lol.

i got told about this, isit dark chocolate? aparently it can be dangrous though but im going to try it with dark chocolate

also isent it like, seritonion having tht that makes you tripp on pills? because when i started having them like 1/2 i would trip.. abit but it was fun like !! but now i feel like i have to have upto 4 to trip, n i just get abit of scatter vision for an hour n feel overly fucked than i should. -.-

yeah the craving chocolate after a roll happened to me. i rolled fairly hard one night the next day i couldnt stop eating all my friends candy bars for breakfast lol.

oh yeah the infamous deep breathing. yeah thats one of the best parts of rollin is deep breaths feels amazing. if you disagree you havnt really rolled i think.

I preloaded with 950mg triple strength fish oil capsules twice a day, and I think a got a better roll than previous month. They increase my mood regardless and I am wondering if you're in a good mood vs neutral mood, does this just give you a better roll? Logically that would make sense but no idea how the brain interprets this.

Okay, so ive recently realised that Pumpkin seeds have a high tryptophan content.

I have been suffering with some depression recently, then i realised.
Not only am i smoking too much cannabis but also ive not been on my ediet!

So i went to asda and did some shopping, heres the goodies i got for my wellbeing and to increase tryptophan:
(Keep in mind, as said by Severely etarded, you need to eat carbohydrates / starches with these foods to allow the tryptophan to get converted into serotonin, it makes it more available to the brain you see)

dark chocolate
bananas
cheese
milk
eggs
Pumpkin seeds
walnuts
peanut butter
tuna
lots of frozen chicken foods to make meals with

I also got some other stuff too like garlic, loads of fresh salad and stuff.

I havent consumed chems/pills apart from a few valium and ive vaped and smoked quite a bit of cannabis over the past while. I think im around 55 days clean of mdma and ketamine now

^ nice work waiting 55 days Sam, I remember reading your short report a few months ago after you got on mdma with your friend or something? I'm coming up to 8 weeks, to be honest it's been very difficult but I feel better for it :)

can i just say that i agree 100% with you on your diet plan etc. I've been doing mandy for about a year, and sadly a few months ago i started to experience what some people call "losing the magic" . I couldn't believe that i could no longer have such fun with md , so i did some research and found your diet along with some other interesting articles.

As soon as i found these bits of information i decided to do a little test. When i went out and felt like i was loosing the magic i hadn't done md for about 50 days. 2 weeks later i did md again but i religiously stuck to my diet mentioned below...

diet rich in fresh fruit and vegetables, fish and protein. exercising about 5 times a week, normally just going on runs and doing weight sessions. Green tea and vitamin C = building blocks of my diet and i drink around 8 cups a day. Also take a general multi vitamin supplement.

The results shocked me!! i dosed on exactly the same stuff i had 2 weeks previous at .2g it was so much that i actually threw up! (never happens to me normally) around 10 minutes after doing so i experienced a high as powerful as my first encounter that lasted about 3-4 hours then i bumped with .1g and continued to feel epic for another 2-3 hours with a wonderful afterglow.

I just really want to share this information with people as proof that darksidesam's theories are amazing! it has also greatly improved my health in general, I've lost weight, put on muscle and feel better all round. (i know it sounds bad but, the incentive of regaining the magic has actually given me the motivation to become a really healthy person!)

thank you darksidesam .

this is simple to me. the more healthy you are the more healthy your brain is and the harder you roll. it doesnt surprise me that if your healthy you will have a better experience on MDMA. this all seems very obvious. but yeah everyone should try to eat healthy(sams ediet) and exercise that gets your blood pumping to your brain.

My blood pressure is already low, if i lay on floor then stand up too quick i nearly pass out lol its always been that low though.

These days due to my prostatitis i tend to avoid chocolate though. :(

I havent rolled in over 100+ days either.

thank you darksidesam .

Your welcome :)

Dark chocolate lowers blood pressure

story here

That tears it, dark chocolate DEFINITELY has an effect on MDMA.

When you take MDMA the Vagus nerve causes changes to your blood pressure. Normally when you eat MDMA, it raises your blood pressure and Norepinephrine is released to make up for that and slow your heart... NE is a major neurochemical in MDMA's magic, and is what causes those "floored" feelings, at least to the best of my knowledge.

However when you snort MDMA the vagus system is largely bypassed and instead of NE being released, adrenaline takes it's place and raises your BP and heart rate even further. That's why snorting seems "speedier"...

And if dark chocolate lowers your blood pressure, then more NE would be released to make up for the imbalance causing more of the "magical" feelings we all love.

So dark chocolate having a direct effect on MDMA's effects is very possible.

This is very interesting. I have found low blood pressure, or at least the blood pressure response when going from sitting or laying, to standing, to be pretty intense in the days following a roll. After a couple of days, my body seems to return to normal.

dark chocolate had zero effect on our rolls. plus according to the article linked: And the results? Overall, there were small reductions in blood pressure, averaging 2-3 mm Hg. (Blood pressure is measured in millimeters of mercury.) That is an incredibly small amount that would not likely make any difference. Not to mention that blood pressure and MDMA have a non-linear relationship (see: Non-linear pharmacokinetics of MDMA (‘ecstasy’) in humans R. de la Torre,1 M. Farre´ ,1 J. Ortun˜ o,1 M. Mas,1 R. Brenneisen,2 P. N. Roset,1 J. Segura1 & J. Camı´1)

as for the vagus nerve and different routes of administration--do you have sources on that yet, or is this still just a theory. I read your other thread that was sent to Advanced discussion and they did not agree with you.

Well im going by dosing the same amount, the same wait time, and the exact same crystal mdma (same batch, think how long a gram would last me dosing only 100mg every 60days)

I noticed a significant increase in my experience Versus not eating any.
