[Mega] Tryptophan and Dark Chocolate , 'e-diet'

As I said, raw(unfermented & unroasted) cocao beans are not sold for consumption. Due to their perishability, they rarely leave their country of origin before at least being fermented and dried. Roasting often follows this but they can certainly be shipped beforehand.

Unless you have a cacoa tree in your backyard(and this seems unlikely as the plant itself is very finicky and only grows 10° +/- the equator), you're not eating raw cocao beans.

The "raw" cocoa beans(I assume you mean cocoa "nibs") you're referring to are not actually raw, as they've been roasted. Truly raw cocao beans are quite disgusting, and are not sold for consumption.
And they most certainly contain caffeine(and other xanthines) btw.

So this would imply I am being lied to? I took a picture of the ones I eat.

Not sure about adding caffeine to the mix, might make the comeup more Agggy!!!

From the looks of that picture, I would say they are probably at least fermented then dried. (They look a bit like cashews, no?)
They're certainly less processed than most other cocao products though. I would eat them :)

We can't really know unless we know the weight of the 22 beans. I didn't mean to rain on your parade or anything though...

I am thinking that recently, cottage cheese may also be a great source of tryptophan other than Dark chocolate, i dont really like cottage cheese though

Now that is a good idea - cottage cheese - and I bloody love the stuff. Have my next MD experience planned for June and will be doing an extensive pre-load. I'll try and record what I do although this could be difficult as I'm fairly committed on the work front at present. I've only tried the diet with 6-APB but it works. Really boosted the effects, shortened the come-up (with my own little additions), and made the come-down more manageable.
 
It's certainly true that one needs adequate dietary tryptophan in order to synthesize 5-ht. However, the amino acid uptake process is highly competative in nature. Tryptophan must not only compete with related aromatic amino acids(tyrosine & phenlyalanine), but also the BCAAs(leucine, isoleucine, valine). This means you would need to examine amino acid ratios in foods, not simply the amount of tryptophan.
It's best to just have a good diet in general(not saying you don't). There's no need to go overboard thinking about this :)
 
did this with 70% dark chocolate for like 5 days before i did MD

had a really intense, but smooth, comeup with no anxiety and for the first time ever my eyes were vibrating ever but i couldn't control it (i can voluntarily make my eyes vibrate even when sober but this wouldn't stop)

shit was awesome.
 
Does eating dark chocolate on the day make the comeup more aggy just because the effect is stronger, or is it qualitatively different from preloading with more earlier on? This is assuming enough time is allowed for caffeine and the other similar compound to leave the body before dropping

Yes. You are best off not eating it on the day of. I did that when i took a 180mg pill , although it was an amazing mdma experience, i had the worst comeup of my life
 
yeah i didnt eat any chocolate on the day and i usually get bad anxiety on the comeup (only for like 5 mins usually) but this time i got none, so if anything i'd say dark chocolate as long as it's not eaten on the day can reduce anxiety.
 
I saw someone selling yellow triforces....unfortunately anything coming from the netherlands is a red flag for customs ..

i can still dream!!
 
Well the day has moved up, I will find out Friday for you Sam. Have been loading up on Dark Chocolate the last 3 weeks and exercising daily with plenty of sunlight, going to stop Thursday with 5G in the AM and that's it till Friday. I will have a report :D
