I am also one who seems to have a very high tolerance to MDMA. The first time I tried it was in high school. I had sold a few dozen presses to people and then I tried it and felt nothing, absolutely nothing. Then I heard reports back from people they said they had an amazing time, all describing classic MDMA effects. The second time was someone was a highly trusted friend for whom MDMA was a major part of their life. They said it was lab tested. I tried it and nothing at all. Smoked some cannabis and felt maybe a little tiny something extra. Third time was with another friend who loved MDMA. She felt classic MDMA effects and I felt maybe a little bit, maybe was just resonating with her.
This was really interesting for me to read. I also have a really high tolerance/immunity to opiates. I've tried many opiates including IV fentanyl in the hospital. They gave me 2 shots of fentanyl in the hospital. Never felt anything from the opiates either.
MDMA and opiates are metabolized by CYP2D6, and there 1-2% of the population are thought to have a copy of this enzyme that makes an ultra high metabolizer phenotype. This might explain it or be part of the explanation.
I also have a high tolerance to valium and versed. I was once prescribed valium and would take 5 times the recommended dose and still felt nothing. These are metabolized by other enzymes.
I'm thinking the reports in this thread aren't just bunk. In many of the reports there were others who took the same batch who felt something. If it was just bunk than wouldn't everyone feel nothing? In high school I sold that batch to dozens of people and only got positive feedback.
I wonder how much pharmacogenetic testing costs...
Immune to MDMA?
Here is the situation. A good friend of SWIM has attempted to roll on numerous occasions with me and other peers with no success what-so-ever. The MDMA is without question decent stuff, because SWIM has rolled hard on approx 180mg of it, as do all of SWIMs other friends (all have a slight tolerance as well). Now the interesting part is that SWIMs friend is also non-responsive to opiate drugs; has been given morphine IV at the hospital numerous times with NO EFFECT, very strange. So I am wondering if there is a link between the immunity to opiates and his inability to roll? Had an empty stomach each time... Non of the standard "roll killers" apply to this situation, I believe its something to do with his body? Any ideas? First post on BL btw :D Been trollin for quite a w
