Poppy Pods & Depression
My question is: How effective are poppy pods in treating depression (compared to other opioids)?
I've used a lot of narcotics for quite a while however I've never touched a needle. The methods of administration I used were oral, snorted/insufflated as well as smoking (chasing the dragon). Oh..and about 3-4 times plugged until I realized that I was literally putting drugs up my ass!
My experience is with narcotics such as oxycodone, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, fentanyl, codeine, morphine, demerol, methadone, heroin as well as kratom & pods.
I only smoked/chased the dragon with fentanyl and heroin. My most common ROA was oral with the exception for opioids with very low bioavilability such as demerol, hydromorphone and morphine.
I have found the withdrawl from poppy pods to be in many respects worse than the withdrawl from other opioids, especially when it comes to mental symptoms (extreme depression, much worse than other opioids).
When I take poppy pods I don't get as euphoric as with other opioids but I always seem to get complete relief from depression, which with other opioids is not as pronounced as with pods. The best way to describe the feeling is as 'pushy', kind of like MDMA/MDA or cocaine with that kick/jolt and a kind of pushing force/drive that ensures I get the anti depressant effect.
P.S. The way I consume the poppy pods is by eating it straight up (kratom too as well), crushed finely to a light/dust like powder. I can get 5-7 medium/big pods down this way at once with no problems. The reason I do it this way as opposed to tea is b/c in my experience it lasts an extra half of the duration of tea (for me tea usually wears off in a few hours, like 3hrs and its gone at +4hrs). Also the effects are different since the water destroys or at least takes away from the potency of various alkaloids (hence the reason people do multiple infusions on the same batch). I find this method much more sedating, longer lasting, requires less quantiy (ex: if 5 pods in tea get you a buzz you will need 2-3 pods this way to get that) and I find it overall more efficcient than tea.
