[MEGA] Healthier "alternative"/homemade smoking devices

i read this whole thing, all the way to the end.. the last thing some one had to say was dont do trip c's they kill, and then moderator is like that shits three years old...

anyways. apple. i used to do the pop can thing, ive made pipes with just about everything else under the sun (various pens, bottles, ect.) imo pop can was easiest as far as effort went, but it does present some unfortunate health risks, so i quite all that shit.

apple is good, you dont really even need to core it and doo all that crazy shit. actually if your hardcore you dont even need anything cept the apple bud and a lighter. well, and somethin to be pokin holes with..

stick a pen through the side, close to the bottom until you believe it to be near the middle. next, using same impliment poke a hole down through near the top, on the same side as the first hole, as they obviously need to intersect. make sure the hole is not too wide, as your weed will just get sucked through.
again, if you dont want to, a bowl is not necessary. just widden the entrance of the vertical hole as to make it resemble a bowl. if you think your bud will be sucked through, you can place a bit of wire in the hole and this should prevent any from being sucked up and lost in the depths of the apple.

I just prefer the B.C.Vaporizor that my sweetie got me last year for my B-day.
It works like a charm and my doctor has legalized me to use it, if I promised to stop smoking joints.
I'm workin' on it.
 
ive heard (idk if its true) that when you smoke out of an apple you might be burning bugs inside the apple and smoking them....

its most likely a myth, but you never know..

i prefer to smoke out of a nice bong with maybe 2 percolators and an effective diffuser on the downpipe
 
Obligatory love for vaporizers post

This is rather a disappointing 'board'.

Man, do I miss the days when overgrow was up. Sigh, oh well.

Vaporizers are great if anyone is wondering. I think smoking is rather disgusting and wasteful now that I've been hitting a vaporizer for 3.5 years. Probably the way a needle user looks as someone who is snorting their product.

The vaporizer high is clean and energetic. I often go running after toking a bowl. I only 'smoke' 2 or 3 times a day, but it's much easier to control your supply than it is with smoking. If you like doing any kind of cardio activity or are worried about your lungs, definitely invest in a vaporizer!

If you're not looking to spend much money, look for a Vapor Bros or similar model. There's several models that have the 'electric pencil sharpener' look, those all work fine. The ones with the bag, like the Volcano or Voodoo, are more expensive, but supposedly work even better/quicker.
 
Advice for bongs

Just wondering if any of you guys know something that would make a nice bowl peice for a homemade bong.

At the moment the only possible thing I have around the house is tinfoil with pin holes in it, wanted to know any other things around the house (or easy to obtain) that are nice when making a homemade bong.

Any advice would be great, thanks.
 
Find yourself a socket set .. select right size bowl . i find a 12 mm to be perfect . but you can increase size depending and think about they are interchangeable ..

Ive found a 12 mm one and it is the perfect size, ty for that.

anyone got any idea what I should use with that to stop the weed just falling through?

go to your faucet in the bathroom. try and unscrew the lip around where the water comes out. if it comes off there will prolly be some screens in there, they work great.

Or you could just save yourself 2 hours and a lot of hassle, just go out and buy a new bong for what..$10? If you can't get $10 you should rethink about smokin.
 
But it's so much fun smoking outta something you made!

One time I made a bong with some hose and a 5 gallon bucket
was kind of hard to hit, but it worked and was quite fun to make
 
just buy a bong, a lux mini is only 200 bucks and has a perc tree, splash gaurd, ice pinches, and a diffuser... defiantly worth it
 
I would go buy a bong, but I don't want everyone to see it and find out I smoke (so I don't get hassled by everyone to get them some bud). So I want to find a nice bowl peice I can keep while replacing the rest of the homemade bong after each use.
 
dude go to home depot or lowes or something they have peices that are perfect

edit: your gonna look in the plumbing section. youll know what im talkin about when you see it. their like perfect little brass bowls. any size. its great!
