So, how many fish do you think could live comfortably in my 22 gallon tank? I got 6 in there so far but they are not very big fish. Any comments would be lovely. Thanks

Hmmm I dunno harley. I'm thinking that maybe you should just leave the 6 you've got in there, possibly get 1 or 2 more? Because they'll grow a bit, to a confortable size. I personally think less is more when it comes to fishies in a tank :)

Are you planning to get any more decorations/gravel/plants etc for your tank? Not insinuating that it needs it, it looks nice as it is!

Yeah i was thinking of getting little crabs, or 1/2 fish.

Yeah may get some more decoration, i need to get the light for it fixed first, because i had the tank off my uncle, and the light did not work. So ill get that, then im gonna think about getting some cool fake coral looking stuff :D. I prefer tanks without the gravel for some reason :\

Ok, here are a few more shots from the little 3 gallon.

The only fish, a betta:

And some ghost shrimp that I picked up to help keep the tank tidy:

Also, I've found this little egg deposit in the tank, on the front glass. Any idea? I have since found two more blobs, one on a rock and one on the corner plant.

^^ Your betta is gorgeous! I love bettas :)
Those shrimp are really cool too! Good idea!

Hehe I read that as "half a fish" =D

The crabs sound like a cute idea, or even some shrimp like Cloudyhaze has? Very cool!

Now I want some fishies for my desk at work......

You should get one! And seems like you really like the Betas! And those are the ones you can just put right into a vase or tall glass and change their water every couple days, they need no filter!

I used to have betas on all my desks here at work.. all my empoyees had betas and got to take care of them. I used these really tall vases.... and bought this plant for the beta on top... actually it looked EXACTLY like this...

Try to get more bubbles going, get an air pump and a bubble bar.. usually when you see them floating towards the top they need more oxygen, and the bubbles help with that. If you do that and it doesn't help, test your water, if you don't have a testing kit, bring a sample of your water to a local fish store, they will usually test it for you.

Also check out for the other fish doing it too. If most of them stay towards the top you definitly need to get a bubble machine.

EDIT: I see you have a bubble bar.... try getting a basket, put something around the edge to help it float.
Looks something like this:

Put your fish in there, and see if he gets any better.

I will have a go now to see, but he looks very close to the brink of death :( ahhh well you live and learn, and i only changed the water on sunday, i did use fresh start to get out the chroline and such to.
Thanks PP your a sweetie <3

Well the fish passed on :(, i tried what you said PP. when looking at the fish it seems like the tail was missing, and the same is happening on another fish, tips??

awwwww Harley :( I'm sooo sorry to hear that

If you see on other fish that parts of their fins and tail are missing, it could be that the other fish are being agressive and nipping at the other fish. Watch and keep an eye out. The one that has no peices missing is the bully. This happens with my chiclids. When I put new fish in, the ones in the tank already are the 'bullies' and push around the new fish until they get used to them. Keep us updated %)

Yeah thanks for the help anyway PP, yeah i do have big fish and small fish so, its obviously guna happen.

He was my favourite too, with his big googley eyes haha. Im goin to change the water tomoro and turn the tank around and put up a background to stop too much light entering the tank.

Awww man, I'm so sorry to hear the unfortunate news harley! How are all the other fishies?

Well another two died aswell, but now the 3 left seem to be doing just fine. Maybe ill keep these ones fora while longer before i get more fish lol
