[MEGA] Cannabis Strain discussion thread

If you're looking for yield you definatly want a nice indicia plant. I think the square meter is how much space you give the plant. There are strains like Big Bud that yield a lot but the quality isn't top notch. I'm kinda going from memory but I think some nice yielding strains are Northern Lights, Hash Plant, Afghani, White Widow and AK47.

White Widow and Northern Lights are mostly sativa hybrids I thought. Correct me if I am wrong. Can someone point me in the direction of where I can get some info about yield vs. grow time. I am an amateur and make no statements that I am anything more and would really appreciate any veteran growers tutelage.

durban poison will yield you big huge dense buds. i just got done harvesting and theres way more than when i grew white widow. go with the indica bro.

You need to tell us more aobut the grow conditions first, are we talking outdoor or indoor. If indoor how much space has he got.

The reason I ask is strains will be dependant on wether the grow enviroment is right.

Alright conditions are as follows… very small amount of space indoors; i.e.-closet. I can get good air circulation but I need something that grows kinda fast… I don't know how long it will take from sprouting to full maturation with these strains. I need it to be able to be done and cured by early May. Peace.

My friend… cough… found a reputable source for seeds and is considering a few different strains. They are as follows:
All are B.C. strains.

Kush
Albino Rhino
Big Bud
Skunk #1

I've heard people's opinions on different strains but can anybody give me something pretty concrete. Numbers, exact lengths of time, yield, or a resource where I could find these things easily. Peace.

Albino Rhino¿

I recently ordered some 'Albino Rhino' seeds. At first I assumed it was White Rhino. Makes sense right? Well the info on the website looked quite different than what I was finding doing searches on the internet. White Rhino is 60/40 Ind./Sat., however Albino Rhino is 75/25. I thought that Albino Rhino might just be a child of White Rhino… but now I am not sure if the info I know about it will actually be for the right strain. Any thoughts?

personally i think it was kinda dumb to buy something that just had a similar name, and then check for compatibility on the two types AFTER the purchase...and if you checked before, why didn't you post asking BEFORE you bought?

it would be the shit though if the albino rhino turned out to be a really awesome smoke

those names dont mean shit dude :) it's just a marketing tool. strains with the same name but from a different sources are likely to be different too

Umm… you're dumb. Well actually the parents are very similar but the ratio is slightly different. So I was just curious is all. Won't make any difference to me other than that of an academic sense. Peace.

white russian!!!

omfg, i just took *1* hit of this stuff, and i'm high/stoned (can't tell which one) already!!!! this is the best strain ever (along with northern lights :))....again it's white widow x ak47 = white russian.....wow

btw it wasn't laced weed ;)

^^^^^
-K; stop trying to brag. You know that isn't true and you don't gain anything by saying stuff like that. Except for the derision of strangers.

Good for you Lyx… one hit shit isn't very common. I hope I can grow my albino rhino close to that powerful. I found out the lineage and a. rhino would be a 2nd cousin to that stuff.

Peace.

Northern lights

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this, and if so, did they like it. I think this is an amazing kind of pot. And if you'd like, what were the characteristics of the high?

later

honestly man... just cuz you have a certain strain, doesn't mean its any good... if it wasn't grown well than it wont be very good quality... there's probably been some shitty strains that have produced nice dense crystally buds that got you way higher than better strains...

the strain sin't everything.. however since i live in BC CANADA, norther lights is pretty prominent here.... but it seems nobody really asks what "Strain" the weed is
... they just buy it..

at least thats what i do.. nobody ever asks me for what type of strain it is, and i dont ask my dealer..

i tihnk its more of a US thing or European thing.. i dunno

i once smoked something that was claimed to be northern lights but i seriously doubt it...the high was very mediocre

mike here in latin america its the exact same shit, you pay the same amount of money for any strain...sometimes u get lucky, sometimes u dont...

I've never been a big believer in strains myself (perhaps because I don't know anything about them), so normally I'd say not to believe that sort of stuff ...

However, one of the first times I ever smoked [back in the day] my friend said he had Northern Lights, and that stuff did me like nothing else ever ... the few other 'named' buds I've smoked / my friends have smoked have always been pretty intense too, so I suppose there is some truth to it - you just have to have the real stuff.

it just annoys me when total rookeis say soemthing like "OH MY GOD.... XXXXXX XXXX IS THE BEST STRAIN IN THE WORLD, GUARANTEED"

i mean....... there are so many factors that affect quality.
