Lol that was a typo. Just remove the letter "r" (maybe swap the "j" for an "r"?) ?
Have you also tried green tea? Lower in caffeine, caffeine can massively enhance anxiety for some people. Black tea and coffee can work both ways depending on the person.Lion's mane is incredible. Now, I am not sure if this mushroom helped speed up the recovery proccess (probably though) but it helped with the overall feeling of well-being. My thoughts became clearer, had more motivation to do things, music became enjoyable. I suggest experimenting with other mushrooms too, like cordyceps. I made a post about this 2 days ago but basically taking Lion's mane and cordyceps together removed a great amount of brain fog for me.
Oh, I forgot to add that drinking tea relieves a lot of stress. It also temporary subdues the constant headaches the LTC creates. I got a cold 2 weeks ago and that's where I discovered this when I started drinking tea. Of course I was aware about the calming effects but I didn't really care to bother. Now, that I have fallen in love with this activity, I've added it to my daily routine.
That’s really encouraging! Iv read a couple of studies on the extract from Lions mane and how it increases NGF (nerve growth factor) so I thought maybe this would help in repairing damaged serotonin axons and terminals from Mdma use? I know for a fact it increases neurotransmitters such a serotonin and dopamine in stress depressed mice, how it does this I do not fully understand! But if it helps provide a senses of wellbeing in general and the rest takes time to heal then I’m still more than happy! As a lack of a sense of well being is my biggest issue! Physical symptoms don’t bother me as much and I can easily tolerate them! Would you care to elaborate on what you mean by 3D thinking and how it helped with that? ? I might be experiencing something similar!Lion's mane is incredible. YES, it did exactly that after I took my first 420mg rice capsule of Lion's mane. I didn't have any expections, only "Let's see where this will go". I took it and left for work, and as usual, I started to listen to some music on the way there. For the first time in a month I felt some kind of joy out of music and it actually made me tear up a bit. It was like somewhere in this seemingly endless dark tunnel, a tiny light started shining. This may exactly sound like a "placebo effect" but in my opinion it was far from that.
That was exactly 35 days ago which is the number of days I have been taking it, 420mg capsules, three times a day. I don't plan on stopping any time soon because of it's health benefits. The only side effect is that it creates a weird, indescribable feeling in the head which isn't alarming or anything but is just "different" and something to get used to.
Behind "3D thinking" I basically meant that thoughts started to come and go more easily, as well was the ability to "picture" things in my head. My memory was also improved but not by a huge margin. To me, it did everything I hoped for to make this recovery process easier to deal with and possibly faster.
I'm also interested in the idea of doing shrooms to further get out of a LTC or maybe gain more acceptance over the situation. I've heard some even got rid of their permanent headaches with it but this will still probably be a very stupid idea. What are fellow bluelighters' thoughts on this?
@rinzzlerr Our LTC's pretty much started at the same time, mine just a week earlier. My headaches are also starting to go away, only what's left is a slight pressure spot behind my left ear, which I notice maybe a few times a day. You mentioned being "fuzzy" in the mornings, well in fact, when I wake up, my headaches are at the worst, so maybe our bodies just need some time to wake up to really get going.
To add to my current status in the LTC, my head sometimes still get's hot but not as much as before. A big chunk of my anxiety was relived when I read some of you had the same problem and I was not alone.
Right now, this is what I do to try to get out of this LTC:
-Go to the gym at least 4 times a week (This one isn't really hard for me because I've been doing this for 1.5 years now)
-Take supplements, such as Vitamin D3 and Vitamin C, Magnesium, 100mg 5-HTP a day (I'm not sure if this helps, so I'll not be taking this for long), 1260mg of Cordyceps, 1260mg of Lion's mane
-Read books and practice learning, analyzing
-Try to be in social situations (this one is the hardest for me because I don't want to make a fool of myself with my "e-tardedness" although right now it isn't so bad)
-Try to find happiness in simple things
Its cause our main problem is a deficit in serotonin. Serotonin makes us feel good, safe, be productive. When we don't have any of that precious chemical, these attributes turn upside down. We feel extra uncomfortable, that's why the anxiety skyrockets.I FIRMLY believe the LTC is anxiety. Multiple people here have told me so. We need to treat it as anxiety and get distracted to help our bodies/minds relax. It's almost as if the anxiety sensors in our bodies got heightened by the abuse of the drug (or for some people who didn't abuse it, they were likely more sensitive to it's negative effects) and our bodies kicked into protective mode as it sensed danger that we couldn't handle. The exercise always helped me, and now it seems to just be mental, anxiety is all in the mind. It's all "perceived danger". I've always had mild anxiety, now it's just intensified. We can and WILL return to our baseline with time and by taking care of ourselves.
Started doing this today I got in 5 20sec sprints full bore with minute rests in between.. your doing well if you can manage 20 a day! I was absolutely buggered! I can see how this would help in the long run! How much do you think it helped you since you began doing them?#1 cure for the LTC and any massive drug induced anxiety issues = 20 minutes of sprints in the morning.
20 seconds of sprint at max speed. 40 sec of walking. 20 seconds of full bore sprint. etc. do 20x of those for a 20 min workout.
Do that in the early morning every day, like within 30-60 minutes of waking up. Just try it out, ignore the fact that its shitty and difficult and do it for 10 days. Keep a journal and see what happens.
Well once my Lions mane capsules arrives I’ll be able to tell you what I think ?.@Wentworth211 I don't think it necessarily impacts patterns of thought but just makes thinking "clear". I know, I've used the word "clear" far too many times to describe the effects of Lion's mane but in my opinion it suits best. It's hard to rate how I felt prior to Lion's mane and now because it helps in so many different areas but i'd say my recovery got real fast at the end of the first month of my LTC. That was the time I really started to go to the gym again and of course, started taking Lion's mane. In the end, you have to try Lion's mane yourself to really experience what it does.
Just before crashing into the LTC, I remember my thoughts also running quite wild at least once a day. I remember my head heating up, thoughts getting really fast etc. What I did was turn on a relaxing playlist and go for a nap, which actually worked. So, what I'm thinking is, maybe it's part of the recovery process, as I had this problem 2-3 weeks before crashing? Anyway, You are in control of Your thoughts, no evil spirits or anything can control what You think, remember that.

^^^Were you the only one who didn’t take LSD? Have you/how many times have you tripped in the past?
I whole heartedly second lion hearts recommendation of sprints. HIIT and cardio are key to getting better via exercise but don’t neglect strength training either.
