the countdown is on!!

Yeah I cannot fucking wait...I hope the weather is like it was last year...I plan on getting there around 4:30 P.M. with the GF, bringing some positive vibrations, and throwing a few beers back before I induldge in whatever the night has to offer...

Whohoo!

My vacation request was honored! I got off friday, sat, sun, and monday(for recoup time). See some of you in 5 days! Cant wait to get out of this area if only for a little bit!

So how far do you all travel for this event?

I've always lived within 50 min-90min of Starscape and I've met people who have traveled the country, some even the world, just for this day and night of partying

3 hrs exact for me. It's to the point now that I don't even need directions to the party. I'm like a Starscape homing pigeon. HA!

with more predicted people coming, you would not need to charge as much to break even. each year, there are more and more people there. so logically, wouldn't the ticket prices go down and down? peace love unity and respect, right.

Well with all things considered probably not. In 2005 the party was 9 hours long going from @ 9pm - 6am with around 35 performers and tickets were Early Bird-$30, Advance-$40, Gate-$45.
This year Early Birds-$39.50, Advance-$49.50, Gate-$60. Not much difference 3 years later. Now the party has more stages including the Main Stage along with the Beach Stages, 50+ Performers. Not to mention the party is almost 2x as long as in '05 and you can bet your ass that each performer is charging more now, than they did in previous years.

With gas prices going through the roof and typical business practice going the way it does. I doubt a price drop will ever happen. I do know what your saying though. But again, I am just a veteran promoter of SS and I don't know the full logistics of planning such an event so I can not speak for UW/Steez.
