Hey guys,check out Kevin Cullen's column on "Chronicling a heroin addicts life" in todays Globe Metro section. I'd link it if I only knew how.
 
dude, you shouldn't be puking if you got a killer habit and doing such a small dose. like MMT said, there may be something wrong w/ that dope or in general, so you def. want to look into this a bit more.

I have a week schedule off from work at the beginning of May so I am going to KICK COLD TURKEY! next week I will make a slow adjustment to bupe and starting next weekend I am going to ATTEMPT ME KICKING THIS PROBLEM! I've done it before, I can do it again!

I just blasted a .5 and feel OK. to think the money I waste and how I live because I need this drug so I am not "sick". here I am chasing a high, as we all are, right? and I sit here and think NOTHING has changed aside from me wasting the money, time and effort. I paid money to do the "prep" work for the shot. maybe we should all work in the medical field and we prep needles for the doctors! maybe it's THAT is what we are addicted to -- the "preparation", right? I've always said that and I know many others agree, too.

but yes, it's Friday night and I am OK.. wasted money and wont go out tonight because I already spent too much for the day; so I'll sit in and feel "normal" and watch bball. makes me sick thinking of the money wasted and just seeing what occurs after spending the money.. NOTHING! I waste all the money for the process in which I call "normal".
 
BBT- For me it's the smell of it in the spoon. That smell always = 'I'm gonna feel this one' exciting anticipation. After re-reading your post I guess this would be part of the prep work you say we're addicted to. Carry on.

haha, yes.. that is part of the prep work. sick to thinking prepping is part of the addiction, right? although, I think I'd rather buy loaded pins.. but there are times I enjoy going through the motion. sad but true.
 
^ Even the cops and robbers game can be part of the addiction. Was for me. Not so much anymore tho. Just getting tired of all the hassle.

Good luck boston! Sounds like you're ready to get through it. I'm starting a subs taper this week also. But Yeah it's real weird, the dope gets me well and everything it just makes me puke in small doses it really sucks bc my other connects have such shit right now I just end up copping the pukey bags so I can get something close to a rush but for the most part I'm wasting my money getting well so I can go to work and make some more money to waste to get well again....


I went and got tested at tapestry needle exchange today and tested negative (!!!!) for hep c and HIV so that culprit is ruled out as the source for the throwing up all month. They actually PAID ME $5 to get tested hah! And I got a $25 cvs gift card for participating in some ethnographic study about how iv drug users are treated by nurses and doctors, so all and all a successful day even though my dope made me sick.
 
Lol, I can picture her presentation. "I was selling puhrks left and right and was up to 8 a day" Oh so you were taking 40mg of Percocet a day? Obviously talking about 30s. Same people that say "Bro, oxymorphone is morphine and oxycodone combined man, trust me, I know. My friends cousin is a nurse". Unrelated, but I once had someone try to tell me Oxycontin were slightly different than IR oxycodones because they have a little bit of morphine in them and he even was trying to persuade other people to go against my viewpoint strictly for the fact he started using before me.

And back to the article: I don't get why that warranted its own article. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely sad, but it's no different than 1000s of other heroin users in the state. Get addicted to oxycodone, say you'll never do heroin, oxycodone crackdown comes and can't find it, say you'll do heroin only this once and when pills come back around you'll go back, realize it's cheaper and more available, blah blah blah inject heroin, lose friends to death and strained relationships.... must I continue? It just wasn't unique to me by any means, but maybe the guys article didn't do the report any justice.

Anyway, I've been really happy with one of my connects quality the past few days. He called me out of the blue to let me know his bag size and prices changed and that "he had something special for me". And the quality really was excellent and the bag sizes were nearly double without the price doubling.

Overall I'm really happy with his speed of meeting compared to my other connect, willingness to do deals and price breaks if I'm a little short and overall good customer service. Definitely going to continue to go to him exclusively until I notice a reason to do otherwise or I want to get white for some reason.
 
^Yeah, once he gets you going to him again, how long are the big bags and good dope gonna last?

I've had many times where pretty much all the dope out there sucked, no matter who I went through...and my phone was loaded with numbers...I couldn't even remember who the fuck half of them were! Didn't matter...at least a few times a year, it seems like everyone will have garbage for a couple weeks...and at that point is when I usually decide to either kick or go on maintenance...but for some reason, as soon as I decide to quit, all of the sudden...everyone has good dope again!

My friend ended up with 20,000 in cash right at the beginning of a month long quality drought...He'd call me every day to go cop for him..I'd tell him it wasn't worth it, but he wouldn't listen...He blew through half the cash on garbage, and when the good dope came back he started shooting speedballs....20k, gone in 8-9 weeks!

What's going on people? Been awhile since I've checked in so I figured I'd say what's up and let some people know where I've been at. I'm finally in my first halfway house in Boston and I'm exactly a month and one week clean, from everything. Prior to this, I did have almost 2 months clean at the beginning of the year. Still love the dope and the hustle but for right now I'm just focusing on getting my priorities straight, getting back to work, and not hustling on the street and being about that life. I know shit's been getting real in MA these past number of months so I hope everyone is safe and doing their thing without any major problems. I'd like to get more active on here again like I used to be so hopefully I'll be able to post more since I'm not currently on the street and getting it in all day.

dude, peeps are DROPPING like flies around here, right!? I had 3-4 people that I know die in the last few months; probably 10+ in the last 2 days. what is going on? worries me. I dont believe the whole Fentayl laced shit at all.. but I do wonder how/why these peeps be dropping? I know peeps always chase that high and shoot more and more.. I do myself, but I never even catch a nod, never mind a DROP! just scares me at times hearing what is going on around here.

Haha. Yeah man. It's amazing what you can end up doing with all the extra time on your hands. Being strung out is a full time job, man. Ha.

see man, thats never been me. even now I am using and I always have time on my hands.

my "pick-up" is quick. actually, its usually a drop off. so things are quick and easy. and the money comes from my bank account, not a hustle, unfortunately. it comes from me working my full-time job and working it hard. so using is not a "hustle" as it is for most; or how it ONCE was for me.

my using is a daily routine; the person I deal w/ knows what time, how much, where, etc. so it's just a given it's going to happen at that time, and it will be that much $$, and will be done how it always is. so there is not much time taken up; whole process is about 15 mins and it's GONE!

Yeah, it's taken a few of my friends out. Dudes getting out of programs and literally the next day they OD and die.

It might sound counter-productive but I got high on Tuesday and the dope was some fire. I banged one 20 and stayed wrecked all day. It was just something I had to get out of my system, basically. The house I'm at is a lot stricter than others but they don't test as much. I won't fuck around after that because it'll be my luck that I'd get high again and they'd smoke me with a test. Plus, I gotta try to stay clean for other reasons...

Sometimes that one hit will satisfy the urge for quite a while. I hope you can stay clean. I have been off dope for over 3 months this is the longest I have gone in a few years. Of course I could not have done it without methadone.
 
We were all talking bout the north and south shores recently. I never would have thought I'd be spending the weekend on the south shore only a few weeks later. It's comfortable down here, but I don't know my way around at all whereas I know the north shore like the back of my hand
