LSD Discussion Thread (Australian Centric) Mach III

sounds good but id also call od never coming back to normal "self" as od as well as death. i mean someone eats 10 drops flips their shit and never comes back as they were previously id call an od. id also call death an od but isn't that kind of obvious? personally done my fair share of trips and as far as i know always come back but i know a couple people that pushed it too far and are not the same. life is a gamble and drugs are a gamble. let the positives outweigh the negatives and yolo

I fully appreciate where you're coming from laugh and agree there is an increased chance of being 'not the same' after a trip. It's for this reason that I have never looked at psychedelics as purely a party drug, rather, as a tool that provides us a variety of insights; ranging from minor to life changing. My personal belief is that if an individual is not willing to experience these changes, minor or major, than psychedelics are compounds that should be avoided. If, however, you are willing to embrace the experiences and, the associated changes that may occur, than psychs (especially LSD) can open wonderful doors to future growth.

MODS: Any chance this discussion can be moved to the LSD discussion thread as to not take away from this wonderful thread? :)

Well you can od on other stuff without dying. You can live with irreparable physical damage resulting from od or just lingering trauma. Just depends whether you can link the changes to a single time, or if they were cumulative over a period of uses/habit, the latter I would not call an od.

OD's aren't exclusive to a certain group of drugs, they aren't always fatal and they aren't always immediately noticeable but they can affect you for the rest of your life, no matter what drug you're talking about.

Taking too much of something is not being a hero, it's being a moron.

Pretty new as a member to this forum, but thought I would post about my first LSD trip (2008) because It was one of the most life changing moments of my life.

So it was the night before my 18th Birthday, and I had consumed an MDMA pill earlier in the evening, but it had pretty much worn off when I was convinced by a friend of mine that I should try my first tab. I took half of a red strawberry, and the trip that I had was an experience that I've never come close to in any of my other psychedelic experiences. I took it in the early hours of the mornings, so when it kicked in me and a the other people who took them, decided to go chill out in Newtown Cemetery. I was loving just sitting on the grass looking up at the awesome patterns the leaves on the trees and the sky were making, sort of like a light blue and black kaleidescope. Then one of my friends gave me some orange tinted sunglasses to wear. I found that the pleasant orange world I was looking at to be highly enjoyable so I wore them for an hour two while we giggled in the park, and slowly made our way down the road to a friends place to go sit in their back yard so we could hide away from the people of the normal society who were beginning to go to their respective jobs. When we made it back to the backyard, I decided that I had had enough of staring at the beautiful tangerine sky and wanted to return to the colour spectrum that I was accustomed to. However, when I took the glasses off I was not greeted by my familiar colour spectrum. Instead everyone's skin was now green, one of my (usually black haired friends) now had purple hair, everyones tongues and mouths were now fluorescent pink. The fence which was usually a light brown was now fluroescent yellow, with fractal patterns that seeped from the ground onto the fence, with the plants which I think were now a deep red and blue added to the fractal patterns on the fence. The sky was now the brightest blue I had ever seen, not the light blue that I'm pretty sure it was meant to be at that time of the mornings. Since this was my first trip I tried to describe this to my friends, while laughing hysterically because I thought I was loosing my mind because I hadn't ever heard from any of my friends that acid would create the effects that movies and television describe. My friend wasn't very helpful in trying to calm me down and said that he thought I was loosing it, which really didn't help to placate my fears. Since he wasn't being helpful I decided to just go with because there was nothing I could really do. Eventually the colour spectrum went back to normal, it could have been 5 mins or it could have been 30 mins, I don't know it felt like an eternity. During that period of colour insanity I just laughed in the way that I know acid makes you laugh: you laugh because you think of something funny to yourself, you try to communicate it and fail and then you laugh at yourself for failing, then you laugh at yourself because your laughing so hard. When the colours went back to normal, I did then have fun for a while putting the glasses on and then taking them off, while calling the word with the glasses on red world, while referring to the glasses on as blue world, giggling the whole time. The trip finally wore of sometime around lunchtime, and I spent most of the day on my 18th birthday asleep on my friends fouton. So yeah thats how I entered adult life.

I don't think this description truly captures the experience, but it's something I've wanted to try put into words for a while.

Has anyone else ever had vivid colour changes? If so what tabs were they? and what dose did you take?

Welcome to the next level...

The only time I ever had really vivid hallucinations or visual distortions was off a shroom shake in Bali that we had in a bar. That was probably the most tripping I have ever been. And I have had alot of strong acid in the past too, but the shrooms were just amazing, we probably had too much as we were just about freaking out and had to lock our selves in our hotel room and close all the blinds and just lost it for a few hours. Awesome experience tho, but I can see how some people could lose the plot off them, it was such an intense trip.

^^ Yeah I've heard the same that mushrooms in South East Asia can give intense visual distortions. Do you know what type of mushrooms they were? My partner told me that the buffalo mushrooms are the best (buffalo in the sense that they were fertilized by buffalo manure). I will ask him when he gets home how the other fertilized mushrooms were ranked

^^^ No worries! Thought it was definitely worth sharing here ;)

Have decided this evening that I'll be forgoing the use of my LSD for an upcoming hardstyle event here in Canberra...figure it's probably in the interests of HR to not down liquid LSD of completely unknown dosage and head into the nightclubs LOL....well, not completely unknown. It's a vial with 10 drops worth of liquid in it, each one supposedly being equivalent to a decent tab in strength. I took roughly 4 drops of the stuff and had very little effect at all, so on the assumption my mate didn't rip me off big time, whatever's left in that vial is going to be exceptionally concentrated hahaha....

Mushrooms it is then!

i think that is positive thinking. my bet is if you did four drops and felt nothing it is obvious your 'mate' ripped you off.

Nah I have no idea sorry. It was along time ago now and I didnt really ask or watch closely when the bar man made the shakes up, I recall he blended shrooms and ice and various other things, milk, ice cream? And possibly some fruit, but the shakes still tasted gritty and dirt like. We should have had half a shake each, but we had one full one.

haha yeah you're probably correct, though (and I know everyone says this lol), I can't see any reason whatsoever for him to do so. It's not like we're CLOSE mates, but if he did "rip me off" it's almost certainly unintended....either way, whenever I open that vial next the entire remaining contents will be consumed haha. To ensure I get EVERYTHING out of the vial, what should I use to rinse it? Everclear/high-proof alcohol?

Has anybody ever had or heard of what you would think is inconsistently laid paper??
I have a friend claiming that some squares her & a mate consumed didn't work at all..
It's pretty strange, because the same type of board seems strong as fu*k to me and has satisfied everybody else i know who has taken it.
Just wanted to know if its very common to come across a few duds amongst a bunch of potent tabs???
