You're right i had no idea what i started here. I stayed away from this thread after a few people replied and this is my first day back and i only read a few replies. I didn't read the replies on pages 1 and 2.

I didn't mean anything by it. And i don't think of my meds as a SCORE because i have legit pain. I was just asking what other people had gotten from doctors. I should have worded it differently.

And you have some nerve judging me like that; I have a legit need for the meds and all I do is get my stuff and go about my life, which consists of obtaining an education and hanging out with friends, and not being the junkie who OD's in the gutter. You can't even spell or speak in properly constructed sentences, much less present accurate information about regulatory requirements for proper prescribing practices.

A single MRI is not enough paperwork where anybody should be started on oxycodone. You were originally bragging about how many meds you get and you just stated you and (your friend's dont go to the clinic too fucked up) so you abuse your meds huh. And yeah I suppose you and all your friends somehow have the same injury and get over 200 oc's a month. Your so full of it. Your parents do not give you 500 cash every months to get the amount of medications that only cancer patient's should get. inless your saying your parent's want you addicted to opaites for the rest of your life. We all know how you get the money to pay for your visit each month.

I doubt your parent's even know you go. You are unemplyed because you make your money going to the doctor. You are also constantly contridict yourself. If you really need your meds then i'm sure you wouldn't mind if you got a random pill count each month. Their is also no clinic that you are going to that has been operating for years, Their is not one clinic that you could get into that has operated for more than a year. An you obviously can't google. I'll give you one little hint one of the offices that got shut down last week was next to a best buy. However their are two more besides that. Don't worry it's not your's I know where you go I probablly pass you when I drive by it on my way home from work at midnight. Better start looking around. By the end of the summer you may actually need to get a job. You won't be able to hide behind the excuse that you're still in college anymore. Your in college not highschool. Just about everybody in college has at least a part time job inless they get a script.

An if you knew anything about prescription requirments you would know that a single MRI is not leaglly enough information to get prescribed oxycodone and that you're clinic as two sets of files. One set that they leave out and one set that they keep hidden away. Oh and since your parent's help you out and you don't need a job I suppose you still live at home.

STOp being in denial. you have all this pain right??? Please tell me what your pain is from that warrants you to be on a patch and a RX that is very very powerful. Plus, you stated you do abuse them and you are an addict. Most people in your shoes, are really and truly not in pain, but they think they are due to being an addict. With that said, I would love for you to tell me here or via message.

I will tell you about me:

Major car accident. Crushed my lower spine all up and my upper neck/spine/brain. This happen in August of 2004. I have had 5 lower spine surgeries, 2 upper neck surgeries and then 1 brain surgery from a malformation I developed called Arnold Chiari. I have awful pain everyday and every night of my life. Yes, I have pain medications, but it took me along time to reach the level I am at, because of these dumb fucking addicts who ruin it for legit people in pain. So, please tell me what's wrong with you? What warrants you all these drugs???? Thanks, MV
 
And if you don't understand what emplyment status has to do with anything just shows how dumb you are. That so many people manage to have enough money for their pain doctor each month but have no income doesn't make sense.
But you won't have to wait for your place to get shut down because most likley you'll be arrested for being so stupid before it does.

You got this whole thing wrong buddy. If you are receiving 240 pills that are 30mg a piece, that totals out to be 7200mg in a 30 day period. If you received 60pills that were 80mg a piece, that would add up to 4800mg in a 30 day period. So what would you rather have if you are an addict???? You would rather have the 30mg pill instead of the 80mg Oxycontin.

Let me brief you on something else too. A child would die a lot faster if they were to ingest a Roxicodone 30mg rather then an Oxycontin 80mg. The Roxicodone will release all of the 30mg in around 30minutes. The Oxycontin however is a long release tablet that would work over a twelve hour period, which means the parent would have enough time to get the child some care. So a lot of the medication would not go into the childs system as quick as it would if they were to take Roxicodone.

Just my thoughts. Good try though brother.

You're most likley doctor shopping as well and whenever a doctor find's out and they do talk to eachother by the way they'll turn you in. For every patient a dirty doctor turns in means he gets some brownie point's. it buys him a little time and allows him to keep another 200.
 
Are you talking to me rgpizza? If so, i don't doctor shop. I have a GP and a pain doc and that's it. I only get my pain meds from my pain doc. I'm to scared to doctor shop, I'm to scared to get in trouble.

^Both of you have horrible problems, arguing over who's pain is worse and who 'deserves' the drugs isn't going to help either of you.

x60 Dilaudid 4 mg/month (pain from a bad burn)
x30 Dexedrine 10 mg ER/month (I think it's awesome)

I was in a car accident, fractured my back and the end result was Spondylolesthesis/Spondylitis of L-4 and this is DOCUMENTED with mri's x-rays and everything else under the sun and I've had every therapy under the sun.

I really don't have to explain myself to you. If Social Security believes me than I would think I'm not lying but i don't really care what you think. Long as my loved one's and my doc believes me that's all i really need. I don't care if some person I DON'T even know on some forum doesn't believe me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!IT doesn't affect my life what so ever what you think.

Oh yea, i also have Severe sciatica which keeps me stuck in med a lot of days.
And yes i do admit i abuse some of my meds but i do use them as prescribed as well, you are not going to make me feel bad about that period! I am well aware there are people in this world who have horrible pain and they get nothing. I am truly blessed. I only abuse them when i want a little treat or i still have pain.

If there was some miracle cure for my pain I'D TAKE IT! But of course your not going to believe me. You've already made your opinion about me but your opinion isn't fact! What I've told you IS FACT... i have pain and it's documented-- my condition is documented.

I Would Like To Jump Into This Very Fast. If Someone Walks Into A Docs. Office And States They Have Lower Back Pain, With No Scans Or Any Medical Information On Why They Are Having This Pain, "should Not" Get Any Medication Above A Tramadol Or A Lortab 5mg/500mg. Docs. Prescribe These Powerful Narcotics To People Who Have Been In Chronic Pain For A Long Time With A Lot Of Documented Problems.
So My Point Here, Is If You Have A Little Pain From Some Back Injury Or A Broken Ankle, You Should Have Around 3-5 Days Of Pain And Be Back To Normal.

Now Lets Talk About Surgeries. I Have Had 9 Surgeries Since August Of 2004. Two Of The 9 Surgeries Are Suppose To Be The Most Painful Ones Docs. Perform On People. Each Time I Got Discharged From The Hospital, I Would Go Home With Lortab 7.5/500 To Start And Then Maybe Percocet 5mg/500mg If I Needed It. These Medicines Were More Then What I Needed. So Yes, People With A Little Pain, Need To Learn Some Different Ways To Control Their Pain.

It Makes Me Sick To Think That Every Little Fucking Thing People Have Wrong With Them, They Run To Their Doctor Or The Emergency Room To Get The "happy" Pill. People, "pills" Are Not The Answer For Everything. There Are A Million Different Things To Control Pain And Anxiety. It's So Funny How This Society Has Has Been Trained To Swallow Anything And Everything For Just A Simple Cough/cold/pain/anxiety. Go Do Something With Your Body. Go Workout, Read, Stretch, Guided Imagery Or Whatever Else You Can Think Of.

YES, YOU HAVE SIMPLE BACK PROBLEMS! EVERYONE HAS THE SAME PROBLEMS AS YOU. BELIEVE ME, YOU HAVE NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU TO WARRANT WHAT YOUR DOC. GIVES YOU. IF THAT'S ALL YOU HAVE WRONG, YOU ENJOY YOUR OPIATES TO MUCH. THAT SICKENS ME THAT I DEFENDED ARE FUCKING COUNTRY FOR FOUR YEARS AND THEN DEFENDING ARE COUNTRY FOR ANOTHER 8 YEARS ON THE US SOIL. I know what your talking about rpizza , i have an aquaintence that does the same thing to people he knows sending them to my doc because "he always gives people narcotics" which is bullshit . they could have a pulled a muscle and automatically think they need to be on fucking oxycontin . its rediculous , i had a friend get all pissy when he sprained his ankle , was put on t3s for 3 weeks when it healed he went to his doc claiming he was still in pain and complained to me that he wouldnt give him percocet ..

another guy claims he has so much back pain that he cant move cant work , yet he rides his bike all over the city , gets cracked out all weekend , then has the nerve to ask me if he thinks my doc will give him a script for oxycontin because he had a small history of minor backpain ..

it pisses me off because hes in a clinic and their have a strict no narcotic policy and if hes caught im going to have to drive all about an hour of the city all because these fucking morons want to get high for free ..

Actually your also wrong , that 80mg oxycontin is going to release approx 40mg immediatly in about 30 mins and then the other 40mg over the 12 hour period , so there isnt going to be a difference between which pill that child eats shes going to be in big trouble either way ..
 
What are the warning signs of addiction???

Medication addiction can develop very subtly. Look for these warning signs:

-You take more pain medication than your doctor has prescribed.
-You request prescriptions from multiple doctors.
-You use alcohol or other medications to increase the effects of the pain medication.
-You take pain medication to deal with other problems, such as anxiety or stress.
-Your doctor, friends or loved ones express concern about your use of pain medication.

ARE YOU AN ADDICT???
 
I know one of the side-effects of Opiate based pain medications can be mood swings and rage^
 
That can be dropped into 2 diff categories , side effects and addictions , withdrawl can cause it .. interrupting someones good mood is also cause for aggrivation .. thus a side effect .

Actually I wouldn't call #1 a "Score" they are used because the demerol didn't work in the end, I don't intend to get high on them, I intend to use them untill my burn wound heals up and stops being such a horrible bother.
