Let's Talk Craft Beer

You only live like 2 states away from me...
ANYWAY.....
it's not in CT but it's in every surrounding state (go figure) but Maine beer company makes an excellent ipa, its not supper hoppy but it's not at all syrupy like the 120... it's called lunch. I have not had the Zoe yet but it sounds rather yummy... http://www.mainebeercompany.com/Site/Find_Our_Beer.html
A beer from my home state that you may like is from abita brewing company... It's called andygator, also jockamo ipa and possibly the restoration pale ale... I check it is available in your state (abita) http://abita.com/
Of course Harpoon is a great company and I was able to go to their brewery for the new year... their standard ipa is great and they have a new one that they released last year called the Leviathan Imperial IPA... I have not had it yet but it looks amazing, and harpoon is a great company... http://www.harpoonbrewery.com/index.cfm/page/Beer/pid/28467
Jacks abby makes an amazing double india pale lager called kiwi rising that is rather hard to find but AMAZING I know deep ellum in mass keeps it on tap... another great brewery to try out imo... http://jacksabbybrewing.com/beer.php
There are a ton more depending on if you like stouts and such but this is just what I have as far as ipa's and the like go right now off the top of my head... if you have any suggestions I'd live to hear em and Cheers!!

Yeah, I've been to the harpoon brewery before too. I used to drink a lot of harpoon myself. Never heard of the others before though, I'll have to look into that for sure (although for some reason I'm pretty sure I have seen the purple haze before so I may have heard of abita after all...)

Tbh I'm a little barred out right now so I'm not in my best thinking state of mind, but I will definitely have to get back to you on some of my local favorites for you to try

Bought one of these on sale at Market Basket sunday (omfg sourcing)

Anyone know how long these will stay good after tapping? I drank half of it two days ago, going to kill it now, but it's tasting a little... off. Not horrible, but not as fresh as it was when it was first tapped, either.

I live in MA so I bet we drink a lot of the same stuff especially seeing that you seem to favor IPAs. If you like hoppy IPAs and haven't had it I highly recommend the Long Trail IPA. I really like it and the hops are so robust that they come through very floral.

Ok my stand-bys are PBR light, Bud Select, Bud Ligh, coors light...anything relatively cheap, to get me drunk basically. Not my sippers.

Faves are: Kraftig Light, Boulevard Sunshine Wheat, Blue Moon and Killian's. And yes I'm a girl, so I also loved this Mich Ultra Pomegranate stuff I had awhile ago. I also love Magnum's Cider, a great Irish cider that's not too sweet.

Also: LOVED that Pete's strawberry blonde, sucks they went outta business. Also Purple Haze, it's by a Lousiana co, can't place the name right now...

I once had this German beer at a bar/restaurant where they pour this syrup in the bottom of a glass and you pour the beer on top...it was delicious.

Ahh YES Abita that's it. Loved that shit when I was in NO.

Can you buy Stella Artois in the states?
Its one of the most popular lagers here in the UK affectionately known as 'wife beater'.
Great strong lager that tastes like liquid gold.
