LeBron James VS Kobe Bryant

^^^^^^^^^^

RINGS: KOBE 4-0.

FINALS APPEARANACES: KOBE 6-1.

HIGH SCORING GAME: KOBE 81-56.

BETTER DEFENDER: KOBE.

HARDER WORKER: KOBE.

CLUTCHER PERFORMER: KOBE.

Yeah, you're right - axl - the evidence certainly IS empirical. :)

LBJ already took D Wade and Kobe Bryant back to elementary school this season.

the evidence is empirical, my mang

The only evidence I need.

I think Lebron is more physically gifted then Kobe but that only goes so far.

Kobe is more mentally gifted and in this case I think that trumps. Kobe takes better shots, directs his team better, and is more clutch in the 4th and with free throws. For how remarkable a player Lebron is there still seems to be some sort of maturation process he's going through.

by the time LeBron is Kobe's age, you will have all but forgotten the name Kobe - and you will only think that it is some type of beef or some strange Japanese city.

after this year, when LBJ does the miraculous and brings a title to the city of Cleveland, people will see that he can make a joke of a city and his band of jokesters into no laughing matter. the only reason Kobe has so many rings is because his team is stacked, always. and Phil Jackson is a legend.

LeBron himself is a legend.

LeBron himself is a legend.

He MIGHT be one in the future.

Like they said about Grant Hill.

And Penny Hardaway.

And Vince Carter.

And Tracy McGrady.

ALL physically gifted.

ALL talented enough to lead a team to a title.

Yet, NONE has EVER done it.

Ditto LeBron.

Unlike TRUE legends - the ONLY five guards to be the best player on a Championship Winning team in the Modern Era - Magic Johnson, Isiah Thomas, Michael Jordan, Dwayne Wade and Kobe Bryant.

Talk to me when your boy joins that list.

Until then, Dwayne Wade has as much a claim on "Who's #2 Right This Second?" as does LeChoke.

^This. :)

I admit LeBron is growing into an almost complete package of a player and I've seen him playing recently and hes been knockin down shot after shot. BUT! The best player today without a DOUBT is Kobe Bryant. Yea, LeBron beat Kobe twice in the regular season. Good for LeBron. But you know when its playoff time Kobe is coming and bringing his all. And...I'm pretty damn sure that Kobe's "all" is better than LeBron's "all" ANY DAY.

When Kobe is aggressive and on that attack mode...I don't think anybody can stop him. He's the BLACK MAMBA. The stone cold assassin!!! He knows how to get it done. Period. He's moving up the ladder for the most points in NBA history. He's the Lakers all time leading scorer and I have seen Kobe mature through the years and I think he's smarter than ever before.

Nobody in the NBA can take the Lakers in a seven game series. NOBODY!!!
Lakers for the repeat this year! BACK TO BACK!!!

I think that the Nuggets and the Cavs could easily take the Lake Show in a seven game series, this year. but that's just me and I could be either eating crow or a genius in the next couple months. I won't know until then, and that's why I love this game.

Kobe is not the complete package. compare Kobe's defense to LBJ's spectacular "get outta here with that weak stuff" blocked shots that Bron Bron has. one of my favorite LBJ plays is when he steals the ball, takes it down the court, and "throws the hammer down" for the poster-izing dunk.

hopefully the Cavs will win the Finals this year. this could be Cleveland's last year with LBJ - but unlike other Cavs fans, if he wins one and leaves - I won't be that devastated. as long as he wins SOMETHING for the desolate, urban jungle quagmire of Thieveland.

I expect the Cavs to go full throttle in the playoffs. sorta like how the Pirates played in the post-season with their last year with Barry Bonds, but on steroids. ouch, pun intended.

Kobe is like a MJ clone, only not as good. Lebron is massively athletic, but lacks the grace of greats like MJ/ I. Thomas. If I had to choose I would go with Kobe because the Lakers rock.

Please note how my very first post in this thread still applies 3 years later...

Lebron has a lot to do before even being mentioned in the same breath as Kobe. Until then, it's pretty obvious Kobe is the better player today. He has the rings. He has better shooting range. He has more clutch factor. He is a better defender. Hell...he's even more consistent on the free throw line. Kobe is simply the best all-around player in the league today.

If you want to compare them at the same age, then I guess you could give Lebron the edge, but basically this is a non-argument until Lebron does something with all his hyped talent.

Clearly that "VS" in the title of this thread needs to be changed to a "<". That is all. :)

I really think the playoffs this year exposed some flaws in LBJs game. when a strong defensive team(celtics) took away his lanes to the hoop he was forced to rely on his mid range jumper game which lead to some bad games and even one horrible one in one of the most important games of his life. Lebrons mid range game isnt so good. no person who shoots in the 70 percents from the free throw line is going to have a good mid rang game.

with kobe on the other hand his midrange game is possiblythe strongest part of his game. although he also is amazing in the post and can shoot the 3 ball.

Kobe is just a flat out better player people. his game has no flaws. He has legacy already cemented and is working on the 5th ring.

Lebron just isnt there

Any LeBron fans gonna step up and make a concession speech?

Or are you gonna keep deluding yourselves into thinking LeBron's just "one player away" from winning his first Finals GAME EVER, as Kobe is building upon what is ALREADY the second-most impressive basketball resume of the modern era?

D'Wade >>>>>>>>>> LeHype

Wade should of been MVP of '08-'09.
LeBron is an amazing athlete but he is NOT the best player in the league, fanboys can just stop with this bullshit.

He has no mid-range game, no post move, horrible footwork, vomit-worthy handles, and the lack of a clutch/killer gene that MJ and Kobe have. He's a regular season stat whore. At this point he doesn't have what it takes to be a champion because he cares about being a celebrity more than winning and being the best.
