Cocaine Le Junk's Cocaine Purification Megathread v. The Final Word

On the topic of drying acetone, has anyone come to a final conclusion on what the best way to do it is?

I have what was probably originaly anhydrous acetone, but hasn't exactly been stored in ideal conditions. I have access to anhydrous sodium sulfate and epsom salts.

What would be the best method to use if any?

A couple grams of dried epsom salts (anhydrous magnesium sulphate) per 1 quart of hardware store acetone should be sufficient to make it anhydrous.
 
Le Junk have tried doing ethanol wash after acetone wash ?? I tried it ..the C looks alot better IMO .... only took out an additional 1-.2 of a gram out of the 2.3 that was left after the acetone wash...didn't seem to help or hurt the effects just made it a lil shinyer

I thought someone posted earlier about a problem with this method. Perhaps an aldol reaction or difficulty in filtering.

You told us to use 95% Ethanol and not 99%. Another mistake or just misspelling?

Well it is very easy to unserstand as soon as you return to reason. Different forms of speed solve in different solvents, right?!

So amph base solves in acetone but amphetamine sulphat and that is most common doe NOT. So an acetone wash is totally useless to remove amphetamine sulphat and also phospahte. Its good to remove amphetamine base and other. For sulphate and phosphate you must use ethanol.
So I guess you had a kind of speed in your coke that acetone could actually solve.

If you dry it with chemicals you have to do a destillation process after.

Did those 1-1,2 grams stay in the filter? If yes you removed some kind of crap. If not you fucked up because you can't lose with an ethanol process.
Ethanol helps a lot to remove amphetamine sulpahte and phosphate. It won't help with amph. hcl.

no no that was my shitty typing nonskilz ...what it was is this:::washed 3 gram with acetone ..came out with 2.3 that was good except no big scale ass shiny.....it was kinda dull with lil tiny shiny particles...the quality was tip top(compared to start) ......then I did the ethanol and only like >> .1 or .2 was lost after that total left 2.1 or so.. not much solid in filter at all... mostly looked like dirt ,hair and that kinda nasty shit...it then had very very nice crystal shine to most of it...much better looks ... quality was same as before the ethanol..thats why my question is.... if I do the acetone wash then tha ethanol ... why not just use cheap ..drug store ethanol... 71% ... not like I am trying to remove anything else.... just change looks of final result?? anybody??

Yes, using alcohol after and an acetone wash greatly improve it's looks. In fact, make it look almost textbook!

But, if your going to use alcohol, I'd step up to 91%-95% instead of 71%. The reason being obvious, to long to evaporate. But I must add that you do not want to use 99%, if they even have it. It just doesn't work.

Le Junk ... I did use the good stuff... but expensive for what I am doing with it.. no prob. just wondered out cheap shit ..oh well off to the online supply again..

No, no, you don't need to go back to the expensive shit for alcohol. They have 70%, 91%, sometimes 95% and sometimes 99% isopropanyl alcohol at most any drug store or Meijer, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens etc.

I'm just suggesting when going there, you get the 91% if they have it, that's all. Don't go ordering expensive shit. You don't need it for this purpose. Either way, all your cocaine is going thru the filter. Or thereagain, you really don't even need a filter for this procedure.

Isopropanol?? thought only ethanol alcohol was used ?? they do have 2 types at CVS etc. thought the Isop kind would make your cock explode or something....shucks maybe just get some super unleaded gas and hot sauce that might help... lol

No explosions, sorry. LOL! But yes, iso./basic rubbing alcohol will work for your intended purpose...........................aesthetics. My personal opinion though, if the shit is great after the acetone wash, then why even fuck with it anymore? The proof is in the pudding, if ya' know what I'm sayin'. ;)

Your process has renewed my faith in this drug...I was beginning to think I could never enjoy it again. Nine times out of ten when I'm able to find it it turns out to be that agitating, need more every five minutes feeling. Your simple washing method is well worth the minute loss of product and time. I won't do it without this process again! Thanks again. I just used Home Depot KleenStrip brand.
 
Yikes I looked at that.... who knows how much water is in that.... I even went to a high tone paint store that had 5 pages of info ...still did not have the %of water.... water=unneeded loss of the fun fun dust....
 
First, a big thanks to all who have spent their considerable time and effort posting information and imparting knowledge on this subject. Second, a quick question: while looking for someplace local to purchase ACS grade acetone I noticed an Onyx Brand 100% pure acetone (which i can buy nearby). Anyone have any history with this one? I don't believe it is ACS grade, but does claim to be 100% pure acetone. Anyone?

all the cheap shit says 100%... you need the real deal paperwork on it that will tell you that gives you the gov. specs .....look at .....labsupply.com
