Opioids Kratom Mega Thread v. 5

Want to try Kratom. Best, yep inexpensive way to do it?

So, I take Valium (7mg) and Prozac (40mg) everyday. That shouldn't interfere with trying Kratom, right?

I've been wanting to test Kratom out for a long time. I usually can get a buzz of 10mg Hydrocodone or 90mg Codeine.

What would be the easiest, best way to try Kratom, and also not break the bank?

What would be a good starting dose for someone who has never tried it?

Kratom experts can i get some advise please ive been in pain management for more than 15 years after a car accident. Ive been as high as two 80mg oxys with four 30mg roxys a day believe or not ive weened myself down to three doses a day each dose is a 15 roxy and a half of another 15 roxy total 67.5 mg roxy a day. I have my kr- cough cough ready for jumpin do you guys think i can jump without missing work im planning on 7 grams bali for each starting dose. Im gonna try to get clonidine and lyrica from my doc maybe use the lyrica only when i jump to kr then the clonidine when i stop kr after atleast 3 weeks on kr. What can i expect goin from roxy to kr and then stopping kr after 3 weeks, remember ive been on oxy for 15 years never stopping does that matter or all that matters is the dose you jump off from thanks for any help getting ready to do this for real soon god i hope i can do it!!!!
 
Just wanted to throw this out there. I had much better success with a quick taper by reducing my dosing frequency rather than my dosage. I was at close to 15g a day but i actually went backwards when I was tapering down my dosage strength because i would almost always end up redosing when i didn't feel my dose at all. I very quickly went down to a couple grams a day by just going from 4-5x a day to 3x a day to 2x to 1x with lunch. Today or tomorrow will be zero kratom and honestly I really don't feel bad today so i might throw it out a day early.

I stocked up a few weeks ago thinking that there wouldnt be an issue with keeping stuff that i legally purchased, but now I really dont know. I'm thinking about writing to the DEA tonight and asking what they expect me to do lol. I most certainly won't have any scheduled substances (aside from a couple valid prescriptions) in my possession besides possibly some kratom depending on how the new laws are going to be enforced.

Any thoughts? what is everyone else's plan for D-day?
 
another tidbit i want to add to my previous post (can't edit from mobile site) my doctor was surprisingly knowledgeable about kratom. He knew what it was and that it was soon to be banned. he actually supported my use. not sure if that would nullify the DEAs premise for making it schedule I, if my doctor doesnt have a problem with me using it pre and post ban.

What seemed like the worst kick in the mouth to sick people using this as medicine, is giving less than one month to figure out how you are going to treat your disease when it becomes illegal. Most pain doctors are so backed up that you cannot even get an appointment within one month. So now when the 30th rolls around these people are just fucked going through withdrawal and in horrible pain and hitting the streets for heroin filled with care fentanyl not only does the DEA not care about this it probably makes them smile
 
While I don't believe that article is legit because I am skeptical, there ARE quotes in there, both from SUPPOSED DEA members and Susan Ash of the Kratom association, so if it IS fake, are the quotes just made up and who made them up??

I'd like to hear more about the background behind this article if anyone has it or any further developments if there are any, so lets keep it coming if we learn anything new, but I've already given up on this.

BIG UPDATE:

I know someone posted an article on this earlier, but multiple news sources are reporting that the DEA has "no timetable" for banning kratom. It appears that it will not be scheduled tomorrow, but is still planning to be scheduled in the near future.

Now no one can really know how or when kratom will be scheduled until we get an official statement from the DEA, but it's promising that multiple news outlets are reporting a delay.

What's a good starting dose on Kratom? Can I buy it at a local headshop? Can I mix with my Valium and Prozac?

3-5 grams.

If you have a tolerance to opioids I'd start at 5 grams and work up (if needed) from there.

Yes, if your headshop carries it but it's much cheaper buying from an online vendor.

Awesome, thanks man! Do I have to worry about respiratory depression like with typical Opiods? I take a small dosage of Valium (7mg), but would obviously like to be safe.
 
Plain leaf kratom doesn't have any significant respiratory depression and low doses are generally fine together. However it's always best to try the kratom by itself first to see how you react to it. Also, I don't know about the Prozac.

No RD really, and better hurry, it is banned in the USA in 1-2 days. I stocked up a bit.

Got
Meta-Zen Kratom capsules green original blend.

Does this mean it's mixed with other shit? It says crushed leaf Kratom. Said it was a mix between stimulant and pain killing effects.

I haven't heard of that particular strain. You can't ever really be sure what head shops put in their products although I have purchased from one before in between Kratom shipments from my vendor. The kind I got was good and felt exactly the same. You should be fine if it says it's simply Kratom. I am curious about that strain tho so let us know how it goes! Is it already in capsules for you?
 
Oxygal, it is already in capsules. About .7g per capsule.

They had red blend which obviously is more pain killing I guess? She said this was a mix of stimulant and Pain killing effects, while the White was very, very stimulating.

It says "kratom", and then mitragyna speciosa. Says "green original blend."
