Blog Kicking Kratom Once and For All!!!

I believe I'm going on about two weeks or damn near close. I feel pretty good other than worrying about my upcoming benzo w/d. As I was just leaving work one of my bosses flashed a white pill and Frankenstein whispered "suuubbbbuteext" just kidding around and of course not knowing that I just kicked. I snatched it out of his hand like the karate master and the fly and said Subu-what now? The look on his face was hilarious as I think he has to go to the pharmacy every day.

I haven't read any of the other comments OP but all I can say is excercise, excercise, excercise. Finding a new hobby that you are passionate about and is also atheletic is sooo important during PAWs

I've been dabbling with Kratom for a month or so. I use it for energy at work. Honestly my liver isn't that healthy and although I can't specifically put my finger on any negative side effects I just don't feel right.
I can tell it's not good for me. I was on subs for a couple months (this time). Then a month on Kratom. I'm trusting my body I just feel kind of off. I see conflicting reports about its damage to your liver including people saying they were on it for years with no effects.

I've got a hefty bit like 8 ounces but I think I'm gonna taper off and chill.

Best of luck getting off the benzos. I told my wife during withdrawals that if the anxiety didn't let up I would need to see a doc and maybe get on them. Knowing how addicting and worse withdrawals are on benzos though I toughed it out a couple of really bad days and I'm all the better for it because anxiety is non existent and life is about as normal as I can ask for now.

I have been lifting weights and compete as a bodybuilder since 2008. In the gym 4-5 days a week every week so I have the exercise covered and I owe my physical fitness to being able to get through withdrawals easier. If I was out of shape with bad eating habits I can imagine how much tougher it would have been.

Good advice none the less and completely agree with you!

Having used it consistently for 6+ years and at high and frequent doses I can say at least for me my liver is fine. Like all drugs though - the initial benefits start to fade with kratom and before long, I was needing to take it to just have normal energy levels and between doses felt terribly lethargic and unmotivated. Hate that shit for how good it can make you feel and at the same time, slowly rob you of your drive, motivation and money

30 days clean!

Felt blessed driving into work as the sun rose. You really can't appreciate a beautiful, sober morning until you have experienced countless mornings of waking in withdrawal with the only thought on your mind to get your DOC ASAP. It is so liberating now. It is fantastic.

It's no different from popping pills or heroin honestly. I need the energy boost and mood lift at work but eventually I'm gonna have to go through a week of hell, relatively, mostly lethargy I bet or substitute something else in the meantime.

Absolutely!!
Visit our TDS threads. It's about recovery and you'll find great posts there as well.
Go live your life, recover your endorphin. I say live in the present, once day at a time
'The world is yours'!! Enjoy it!!

Lethargic days and cravings will pay you a visit but you can always leave it for the next day
- and -
at the mean time, exercises will be great for you. Or maybe a hobby. Get your life back :)
Success my friend! I wish you all the best from my heart!

Thanks everyone. It is impossible to see how great sober live is when in the throes of addiction and withdraws but as I am sure every sober person here will tell you, it really is something else. We forget what it's like to feel again and while the sober road isn't without its challenges, it makes each and every day worth living.

If you feel tired during the first months, that only means you are going after your endorphin.
It seems to me that you are already positive and ready. Reason for which I'm editing my older post.

Read some of our TDS threads, about recovery, same with sober living, you might find it interesting.

Good that you are doing fine. This may be your own way to deal with the challenges. And it makes me happy to hear that.

Sorry about my previous email. I wanted to prepare you for the rainy days, but I confess I see now it's out of place.

Congratulations again and keep up with the good work! :)
