^If a pack of papers has 32 leaves, and it takes 3-5 tries (i.e. wasted papers) for me to make anything resembling a decent joint, and I smoked for years without a rolling machine, then yeah, that makes sense to me. 4 joints per week x 3 papers per joint= over 600 papers per year. Never had success, something about it just never clicked. When I was smoking rolling tobacco I got to rolling reasonably decent cigs, but after not doing that for a while I can't do that, and joints were always virtually impossible for me to roll. They still are, after a few years and never being able to roll a passable one in a reasonable amount of time I started smoking blunts instead, then got a rolling machine.
Not everyone can roll joints, my hands are shaking and kinda sweaty a lot of the time, which fucks up the rolling process. Also I'm amazingly clumsy and bad with my hands, generally speaking. I like joints a lot, I smoke them almost every day now, but I used to never want to go through the 30 minutes of trouble it'd take me to fashion a half decent joint.
