I'd call them. I waited 3 weeks once, even with hassling they kept telling me it will be processed soon. It turned out it was down to a human admin error!

IMO that's essentially slave labour. If the position is available to make the dolescum work for free why is it not a paid position?
I would happily work the 30 hours but I want at least minimum wage for doing so! They're asking folk to work for £2.16 basically.

I don't see how they can legally do that. To force someone to work for less than minimum wage. What about H&S and training. They're gonna get nowt from folk that they force.
I'm telling ya now, if they make me I'll be turning up looking ROUGH! Might even get some chocolate cake to eat just before turning up making sure there's LOADS of brown crap on my teeth.

Right thats well out of order . What u should do , or what i would do is .
As soon as u put in 4 your claim apply 4 a crisis loan which u will get. Just make sure u phone em as soon as thay open to prevent long waiting on the phone.
If u don't get a crisis loan get straight on 2 JSA and explain that u are fucked n skint and u need a counter Giro NOW. They will probably say that something has been sent already , don't have it tell em your Hungry , Cold etc now & need money 2day. Seriously u should have been payed summat by now. Hassle the buggers.

I wouldn't really do it obviously. It's just the aggro of knowing there is nothing ( most of us ) can do if this happens. You have to do your slave labour or get nowt and that penalty could be up to three months suspension of your entitlement. I really could not afford to tell them to go fuck themselves like they should be told.
I'll bet you anything it'll be picking up trash or something. If they offered these hours to companies for us to work off then I can promise you the company wouldn't be getting free labour, they'd be paying something.
It's just another way for the government to save money.

Had to go and sign on and complained about my lack of free money. Well it's working ok now, they made one payment Monday and another yesterday so that means I shud be getting it Thursday and Friday don't it? If the 1st payment does go in on Thursday then that'll be 16 working days from when I first claimed to getting some cash!! 16 working days! What a joke. And why don't you get sod all for the first 3 days that you're unemployed? Jokers.
