Good. Fan clubs are stupid. The idea that someone is so great they deserve, essentially, to be worshipped, is stupid.

Idolatry. Smacks of religion.

Seems to be a desire amongst some people to decide whether or not to hate other people by keeping behavioural accounts. Seems a bit mean spirited, and pointless. Also smacks of religion, with you as God.

Chris Langham and Pete Townshend tried that old chestnut about being abused as a child.I think some celebrities think they are untouchable/above the law. It worked for Townshend,but not Langham.

Wheres the book then Pete that you were 'researching',looking at kiddie porn?

I heard years ago (around 1998/1999ish) from my mate who also knew about Saville being paedo, that Saville volunteered at a morgue for exactly this purpose.

Is that what the sport are saying?

Not 100% sure how my pal has all the low down on Saville but so far everything he told me has came out now.

there's those saying "ah these people are only coming out now for the money" i would say there are others who don't care about money and all that and would rather not come forward.

what is a papal knighthood shm? some big high order in the catholic church? i take it there is no equivalent for women... who else has one?

On the BBC News earlier that a former head of the BBC questioned Jimmy about touching up kids in the 70s and Jim denied it and that was that. Various papers knew about it and yet never released the story. Apparently Ester Ranson knew about it amongst other celebs. It was an open secret yet nothing was ever done.

What the fuck is going on?

Another alleged victim of Jimmy Savile has claimed he was abused as a nine-year-old cub scout - one of the youngest people believed to have been targeted by the presenter.

Kevin Cook, 45, told The Sun that Savile touched him inappropriately during filming for a Jim'll Fix It TV show in 1976.

Mr Cook claimed that after he was assaulted by Savile, he was warned to keep quiet.

He told the newspaper: "He (Savile) became really scary and said 'Don't you dare tell anyone. Don't even tell your mates. We know where you live' ... Nobody would believe you anyway - I’m King Jimmy'."

Mr Cook is one of several alleged male victims of Savile, who died aged 84 last October, to have come forward.

Among them is a man who said he was abused at the age of 10 at the Haut de la Garenne children's home in Jersey.

Another man from Redcar said when he was nine he was fondled by Savile in the star's Rolls-Royce.

The intro to his autobiography, which I have next to me on my desk, says:

'To all my wonderful friends. Be they of a day, a night or lifelong. Speed the hours that we may all join up again in Heaven'.

The first chapter opens with a bouncy description of his near death at birth and the prayers offered by his family to Margaret Anne Sinclair, a nun from Edinburgh who is in line for beatification.

Everyone was circumcised in those days.
 
Childrens homes, mental hospitals, approved schools...something depressingly familiar here. A society that allows its most troubled youngsters to serve as playthings for well connected perverts has a lot to rectify. How many other bigwigs took advantage of the 'facilities' at Kincora or Haut la Garenne remain undetected and in positions of power? Are they still at it, secure in the knowledge their victims will stay quiet lest they're punished for making allegations? Where are the investigative journalists when they're needed?

It is, for want of better word, a scandal.

Thats a v good clue to his religion yes thankyou! Jews are buried at an angle or upright though thats why I wondered.

Theres some conjecture that Jim might have been a 45 degree freemason on the net and thats why he was buried in that way. Also if you look at the pic of Peter Sutcliffe and Frank Bruno they're shaking hands in a queer fashion.
