Notable that none who has been abused as a child sexually has had the nerve to come forward and say here....that in itself is telling.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2 8-9.. Thats the bible. Some faiths see salvation connected to works though.

It follows that Jimmy Savile couldnt 'clear his conscience'* by running marathons and donating cash to charities then.
Thats if you believe your conscience is connected to your spirit.

I don't find it hard to believe that he was motivated to do all that stuff for charity in an attempe to salve his consience & boost his ego. Perfect that this work would bring him into contact with children.

I agree that the fact everybody knew but never acted is just as big a story as his actions.

I wonder how many people are like him in every thousand, is it rare or more common than we think?

What a nightmare for his family & victims.

I would very much like to think people like that are rare, most crimes of this type are committed by people known to the victim and not random dossier roaming our streets.

Statistics are pretty much useless given the numerous incidents that inevitably go unreported. As a man it's juts another reason to feel constantly under suspicion, it's a very sad world we live in where I have to be constantly evaluating my every action when around other people's children...understandable I suppose but sad none the less.
