this box set includes the entire tv series, but not the 2 movies.
 
Ouch - might have to wait for another time - I just ordered the box set of EVA - should be in my hands tommorow :D
On the new series front - look out for a series called Witch Hunter Robin when in eventually comes out - I've seen the first 4 eps and this show rocks!
 
Anyone know of a good distributor that will post/send somehow/ or is in Sydney??????????

do anyone know a female anime character who has long electric blue hair (straight, no fringe) and golden yellow eyes? one of the other forums i post on crashed and i lost my avatar. been sifting through millions of avatars today and cant find her!

i finally understand NGE!
after baffled watching twice, hounding my mates with endless questions, lots and lots of brain work, and finally crawling through the net for explainations of what i couldnt work out.
:D
ps. progress on looking for blue-haired chick - she might be Aria of Sister Princess. but not sure yet... have to find more convincing pictures.

Just a note on locally released anime titles - Madman has stated that all previous released series will be released as perfect collection boxsets - as has been already seen with EVA. Empty boxes will also be available from Madman for anyone who might have completed series. That would complete my Lain collection nicely!
February will see the release of the Bubblegum Crisis 2040 box set. And for any Robotech fans - the first two boxsets are available of this series.

Vurt - Madman expect to have the empty boxes available as they release the actual box sets themselves. Therefore only EVA is available at the momment. Empty boxes can and will be avaliable direct from Madman at a cost of $10.
 
do anyone know if i should get dvds from sg or au?
cheaper here or there? better range?
 
my plans are to stay in Sg for the next 3 yrs to work and save. i may come back for 1 more year of study after that.
the only thing which may make me change my mind is a certain result from a translation accreditation exam which will be out in a few weeks - if i pass it, i can apply for permanent residency and get a job easily in aus. however, im not banking on this - many people have failed this exam.
will be posting a farewell message soon.

so, yes, im coming back.... after 3 yrs.

actually, r there recommended websites to check for news and info on "current" anime? i get the impression most of the anime that comes into australia through madman are at least 1 or 2 yr old?
 
Madman, being a relative new company has had to play catch up with alot of anime titles. The problem has been acquiring liscences - it's not an easy task, and being a new player they came up with alot of brick walls. They have acquired alot on new titles that will be released this year - for example, .hack//sign which has just finished airing in Japan. If you have a look at the previous list of upcoming titles you'll see alot of new titles.

Just my luck that I have whole Nadesico series already - but the box will be a nice addition :)
I can't wait for the Boogiepop Phantom box set - been holding off getting this for that very reason.
