When i got to the stage where i had to IV cos i couldnt afford it i actually had panic attacks due to injecting, the way i got past that was valium and once i was used to it i stopped freaking out and making a mess of my self so much
I can't imagine it makes much of a difference but has anyone shot up in their head?? Seriously I got a vein near my temple you know the vein sometimes bulges when someones mad, for years I've thought about trying it but I don't know if I should
except for the crook of the elbow that is a ridiculously sharp angle to be hitting at unless your veins clearly bulge out of the arm like a bodybuilders.
At the crook of the elbow its no longer at a 15 degree angle either because you're aiming at a vein thats curving upwards.
By all means go for that angle if you can.. but between 20' and 45' is more realistic depending on the position.
but I typically try to keep the needle as close to the skin as possible. It's less painful and you have more room inside the vein to manuever, meaning less chance of poking through the other side of the vein.
