Kev. says:
it is possible in theory to create a vacuum in a container where the container is strong enough to withstand forces created by pressure
Kev. says:
however in practice it is impossible to create a pure vacuum
Kev. says:
there will always be something
Kev. says:
like air even though it's extremely low pressure

Summarised from here.Dear Dr. Universe
Does the Earth weigh the same as it did 10,000 years ago?
....it's well-known that several hundred tons of meteorites enter the Earth's atmosphere every day. The total amount per year can range from 10 million to 1 billion kilograms......
....If meteorites are all we consider, the Earth certainly weighs more than it did 10,000 years ago--though it gained only about one trillionth of its current mass.....
....HOWEVER.... ...All the time, we're losing light elements, mostly hydrogen, from the atmosphere. How much? Unfortunately, that would be pretty hard to figure.....
....Another way the Earth loses mass, says Professor Keller, is through radioactive decay....
....Earth gains a tiny amount of mass from the "solar wind," the stream of charged particles from the Sun's corona....
....So does the Earth weigh the same as it did 10,000 years ago? Probably not. At least not quite....

Why i thought of this was an experiment that i did in primary skool, we had a metal fuel container (empty ofcourse) and put a piece of burning paper in it and it imploded on itself, it was arwsome.
Oh and another question, is there always a reaction to an action. i.e something explodeds does it imploded first, even if its a for a micro second.

How were they made? Why do you need them for everyday things?(that's a pretty stupid question so don't answer if you can't be bothered)
