What are long term effects of taking molly once or twice a month ?
Out of curiosity, I never have a problem with depression or feeling drained afterwards like some people experience…..

there’s not a lot of proper research on dose frequency like that unfortunately. a lot of people swear by Anne Shulgin’s 3 month rule, but that was simply her saying “i feel like this drug would be best enjoyed 4 times a year spaced out” after using it frequently. the clinical trials run by MAPS did 2 “experimental sessions” (the rolls) spaced 5-7 weeks apart, then stopping for a few months.

MDMA is pretty hard on your noggin and there’s no set guidelines. if you’re doing reasonable doses (a max of 250mg per roll), using vitamins and supplements to reduce the harm, sleeping/eating well, and otherwise taking care of yourself then you’re probably fine. if you’re using large amounts (anything over 250-300mg), it’s probably less fine. your brain needs time to recover between rolls and it’s very person to person. i’ve had times where i roll a couple times with only 2-3 weeks between, but ive always made sure to not make a habit of that and give it a rest after a couple rolls.

1 month between rolls isn’t too bad, at least on occasion. if you’re habitually rolling every month, it’s probably wise to take an extra month or two off every so often. you may not notice any side effects now but that doesn’t mean they won’t build up in the background and present themselves later. the more often you roll with just 1 month between the more likely you are to begin to notice side effects and lose the magic. 2-4 weeks between rolls isn’t a big deal if you don’t do it often. there’s no hard and fast rule but in my experience i’d advise taking a 2-3 month break every 3-4 rolls to fully give your brain time to catch back up.

I think most people blow it out of proportion because the worst thing they've ever experienced from a drug is probably a headache from caffeine withdrawal.

I took an absurd amount of 5-MAPB two months ago, just two days after I had to put my cat down. Yeah, I felt like absolute dogshit afterward. To be fair, I was also dealing with mild benzo withdrawal and, obviously, grieving the loss of my girl. Even then, I don't think the aftermath is as bad as people make it out to be.

I believe there's a lot more that goes into it. Redosing... (especially twice) is a guaranteed way to feel like utter shit afterward, and it's always a waste. Most of the time, I plan my rolls for early in the morning, eat a decent meal, stay hydrated, and get to bed at a reasonable hour.

I think a lot of the "Tuesday Blues" can be chalked up to taking it late at raves, not drinking enough water, dancing all night, crashing on someone's couch when the birds are already chirping, and only getting four hours of sleep.

I think a lot of the side effects that come with ecstasy are when it's cut with something stimmy. It's kept me up all night at times. Clean MDMA taken in the morning will rarely give you problems falling asleep that night. Which is key for resetting your brain after a roll.

You're going to lecture me, but I've taken it once a week for more than 2 years. And the problem comes when you run out. I would go back to drinking beer in the morning. My mood was going back to shit. My mood otherwise has seen significant improvements from taking about 100mg once a week. So, I'll be a guinea pig here and when my brain turns to mush, it could happen.
