as others have said, I would either eat or vaporize ... vape comes on quicker and it will be easier to find a suitable dose. Eating it is also fairly controlled, takes longer to come on though so don't eat to much. eating to much is overwhelming for a longer period of time.
If at all possible, find some pot that is of indica strain and not to strong (find a medical pot grower if possible or grow your own, search microgrows and be aware of local laws)
while both can get you sweating and heart thumping, its takes more indica than sativa to do it. Sativa also generally gives a brain that races.
Leaves would be fine in cooking, any part of the plant that has Trichomes is usuable.
