is MS Contin good?

What is the ingredient in MS Contins that makes them waxy? I mean, could you look for that ingredient in different pills and this way find out if they're going to be a pain in the ass to IV?

The literally contain wax. MSContins are pretty much impossible/way too much trouble to IV, so I would just stick to pluggin them.
 
Couldn't locate anything related to "wax" in the Summary of Product Characteristics for MS Contin at RxMed.com.

Here's for example the part concerning the ingredients of MS Contin 60 mg:

"60 mg: Each orange, round, sustained-release, film-coated, bi-convex tablet, imprinted with PF on one side and 60 mg on the other, contains: morphine sulfate 60 mg. Nonmedicinal ingredients: cetostearyl alcohol, D&C Yellow #10 aluminum lake, FD&C Red #3 aluminum lake, FD&C Yellow #6 aluminum lake, hydroxyethyl cellulose, hydroxylpropyl methylcellulose, lactose, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, talc and titanium dioxide. Alcohol-, gluten-, sulfite- and tartrazine-free. Plastic, opaque bottles of 50; blister packs of 25."
 
I do these 100 mg's for 5 months already - best method of administration is crashing into powder, add 1.5 ml water, cook on a candle, put a cigarette filter in it, suck out with 100 cc insuline needle, cool it down under cold water stream, and directly to your biggest vien - reccomended to start with quarter, if you had never IVed morfine, if you did do the half or 3/4 because 3/4 and whole has excactly same buzz - same in length and in strength. if you really want to get high with that pill this method is the best. If you have a lot of those pills save filters and when you collect 10 or 15 you can add hot water, crash with spoon and drink, won't get buzz but will keep you well for a while.
 
Morphine sulphate only comes in pills, not capsules. Those are either Kadien or Avinza, and are simply morphine. The beads are the time release, and is easily defeated by crushing. These are the best form of morphine I've found to inject, no heat necessary. Just pour beads in a spoon, add water, crush beads, filter, and slam.
 
I have a tolerance to 25-35mg of hydro, and i just started with mscontins, i take about 110mg to get decently high. you have to remember this is a 12 hour time release. so with a 100mg, orally, you're only going to get 33mg after the liver metabolism, so 33mg over 12 hours is only about 3-4mg per hour. hardly a high morphine dose, given that the hospital standard is/used to be 10mg.
 
The only time I had ms contin was when one of my buddies told me he could get me some oc. I gave him the money and he went inside to get them for me and he came back out with a few ms contins. I was pretty pissed about it. There alright, not as good as oxycodone or hydrocodone imo.

personal preference. some people such as myself dont get much of anything out of the synthetics. mscontin felt preferable to my downer taste.
 
story time:

ive been iving for 2 weekends. this past weekend we binged. we had a decent amount of good heroin, used it all. we went and picked up some dilaudids, and they were some shitty generic kind. like grey, with a E on one side and a 4 on the other. the dilaudid got all clogged in the needle (we are used to easy k4's) and we ended up having the cut one needle in half to get the gunk out. my "hardcore" friend spent literally 5 mins with the needle in his arm tryin to IV because the plunger wouldnt go down. i said fuck it and snorted mine.

since we wearnt really gettin off, we had a 60mg ms contin, we decided to bang it. we crushed it up, put it in a cap, heated it (alot, boiling), double filtered and banged. THE RUSH WAS AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN THE DILAUDID. my high ass friend was like "dude...we get these morphs for 10 dolla and the k4's for 12...we're bangin morphine from now on mannnnnnn".

too bad the high from the ms contin only lasted minutes it seemed (id shot a lot of dope, and being a new iv user (but a year and a half pro dope snorter) i was barely gettin a rush when even shooting dope.

all in all id say IVing is the way to go

and sunday after the binge i felt like complete crap for lowering myself to needle stage and called my doctor and made an appointment and he scripted me my bupe (24mg/day...but i dont take it all, thats absurd) and TEMAZEPAM! woot. clean life here i am.

im kinda fucked up at the moment. i have so many goddamn bupe i ate like 1 1/2 because i didnt get anything out of the 4mg i first did so i just ate a whole -_-. and these temezapem, i ate 3 cuz 1 and 2 didnt even really make me too tired. i smoked some A1 dank marijuana with some of my friends and the end result of all this....

sitting here FUCKED UP, feelin the best ive ever felt off a benzo (and i eat alot of bars, i actually ate 2 bars friday and 1 sunday). i feel awesome. uncle tupelo is the shit. oh yeah :)

so im gonna stick to 8mg for a while on the suboxone and ONLY eat the temazepam on nights i really cant sleep. and stockpile drugs ;). and be clean. and i just got a job offer. WHOO HOO. and my attitude has changed towards school a lil, im gettin shit done.

things are goin up. i sould my soul to heroin. i cant wait till my tracks go away. god. especially because one of my fine ass girlfriends who i have wanted to bang for a minute is in one of my classes and wants me to pretty much come study and fuck tomorrow. and i got tracks.

im feelin good and rambin. im gonna browse, maybe get this post count up
 
MS Contins, in my experience, blow a lot of ass. I've had them a few times and administered them differently on each occasion, most attempts coming back unsatisfactorily. I would say the most I've ever gotten out of the little bastards was when I railed two 30mg generics, which really only sent me into a mediocre nod. That was also with little to no tolerance to opiates, mind you. Oxy, hydro, and even tramadol are far more preferable imo
 
When i had a chance to try some mscontins they were the 15 mg wax purple ones from a friends mom . they actually werent too bad for a buzz oral or insulfd . for me but not something i would buy on a daily basis . id prefer some percocet or oxycontin over the mscontins

unless you get the 10mg pills that are made for iv don't, it has to much crap in it but plugging works very good for the contins
 
Never had MS Contin but Oramorph oral morphine is good, fortunately we have a patient in our ward who is on it, somehow i always draw too much into a syringe and get it on my fingers and have to lick it off ;) Makes working in a old peoples home more bearable.

They contain hydroxymethylpropylcellulose and another derivative, both gell up when they come in contact with water. Apparently they dissolve very when in chlorinated primary alkanes, but I tried purifying them with dichloromethane and it didn't do shit unfortunenately .. I'm still looking for a way to extract the morphine out of 'm.
